1. Hi all - thinking of moving on this Ken Smith Burner 5 - as played by Hadrien Feraud (not this one, though!) . I finally got the Sadowsky 5 so this has to go. UK sales only please - my local shipping people charge extortionate rates for overseas. Really prefer pickup only from Chelmsford, Essex (CM2 - near A12/M25) Pics:
2. Fab as always Ben. Making me determined to get my DB chops in order.

4. I'm not following at all. I'm interested in a Sadowsky 5 - wish I would see a proper For Sale thread.
5. At this site! Enjoy!
6. Hello lovely double bass people, I am picking up my Zeller from my luthier tomorrow, with new strings, new adjustable bridge, and hopefully in a lot better condition than when I bought it last week, so I'm going to be frequenting this forum a lot more. I'm very excited about cutting my teeth on DB. I have come acrross this transcription site with lots of great jazz DB transciptions. Enjoy - and I'll be posting soon! Regards Mike
7. A great price for an outstanding bass - my metro is my no1, wouldn't be without it. Good luck with the sale!
8. Hi - the Sad is my number 1, and I probably want to keep the Duck Dunn - but might be tempted in a p/ex - it's candy apple red, mint condition, plays like a dream
9. Wow, very interesting. Any trade interest? [edit: just read, no trades!)
10. Allow me to register my vague interest pending pictures, a location and a price

GONE

Look forward to pics!
12. Heh, 2 of my old basses on this thread. I miss them both :-(
13. Le prix, maintainant, svp!!!
14. Fab! Any chance of a bass clef version? :-) Thanks in advance, if that's possible!
15. Hi! Another Chelmsford here!
16.
Strange. Last few times I have been in there they have been perfectly courteous and I picked up a set of my fave Fender superbass strings for a great price.
Sadly you are most certainly the exception to the rule.....
17. I had a lesson with Laurence Cottle on wednesday. He is an absolutely monster player and a great teacher - I now have enough material to work on for about 5 years!
18. Jaco Pastorius, Laurence Cottle, Tony Grey, Janek Gwizdala, Sting.
19. I've played this show on two runs. Generally it's straightforward, some tricky rhythms in places, but lots of fun. And the band have to do a bit of acting at one point! "WE ARE, Killer Queen! ALRIGHT??"
20. Great conversation, everyone. Agree with it all. I'd go and work with a pop act in an instant. Love the jazz and all that but my function work pays triple/quadruple what I get for jazz.
21. I sold a Moon here recently. Loved it - absolutely amazing bass. Just no point having one with a Sadowsky 4 too!
22. Great. Dave fantastic as always (well, I've seen him twice, so 100% so far) - he gave me some really interesting things to think about and work on. I got shedding as soon as I got home. Had loads of questions but mainly relatively obscure jazz/improv stuff and didn't want to alienate everyone else who was there!
23. Hi Dave - please count me in for this. Mike
24. Bah, wish you were closer, would be very interested!
