1. Gah! The market that bad? Howsabout I knock a tenner off?
2. I'm not a potential buyer, but I'd love to see some pictures. It would really help the sale, too.
3. Ah, bad luck! Well, if you change your mind, drop me a pm!
4. Hi all! I have this literally spotless Jeff Berlin jazz bass for sale. Got to go to pay for my Duck Dunn Lakland. It's only a couple of months old, done one single gig, and is in flawless condition. Incredible back pickup sound- that real Jeff Berlin (or Jaco Pastorius) punchy tone. Amazingly thin neck - one of the most comfy I've played. Only £290! That's a firm price! Pickup from Chelmsford, Essex, ideally. Very near A12 which is in turn close to the M25. I could post possibly for around £20, but pickup preferred! There's no case so this for me is the better option. Pics: Cheers! Mike
5. Good old Marlowe DK, he's got a great feel.
6. To let you know, I bought one for £699 new from the bass merchant. Maybe hang onto it if you can sort out the economics..it seems like a superb bass. If you have to sell, do you want to sell me the PG?
7. Absolutely stunning!
8.
Steely Dan are, for me, one of those rock bands that allows the genre to retain some self-respect; Zappa too. Intelligent, creative music both lyrically and musically. Every genre has some of these true artists. 'Katy Lied' does it for me but that live DVD from the 'Two Against Nature' tour is great. (Tom Barney, if I recall correctly).
It was Tom Barney, and rather than actually being on Tour, it was a one off special recorded gig, though it was pretty much the touring band.
9. Ah, I'm after one of these. To be honest, I was looking to pay a little less, I think I can get a new one from Bass Merchant for that. Your bass looks great though.
10. Man, I'm tempted, I have an Acoustic 320 Head. Too far away though.
11. PMs replied. Still open for sale or trades!
12. Oh, if anyone gives a hoot, check out four photos of Steely Dan I took at their last London date (supported by the excellent Sam Yahel trio). http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=...mp;id=506897028
13. Huge fan of Steely Dan here. Been lucky enough to see them on two different tours - they don't come to Europe that often! I think "The Royal Scam" is one of my favourites, along with "Katie Lied" and "Two Against Nature" which won a couple of grammys in 2000. Obviously I love Aja - impossible not to - but these are all wonderful albums. Re. Donald's solo work - all fantastic, of course, but Kamikiriad is probably my favourite. Snowbound has great bass on it, courtesy of Mr Becker. Speaking of whom, has just released his second solo album "Circus Money" - worth a listen!
14. Just letting you know, pm not received.
15. Indeed! Apologies. I hope you don't regret selling it. I hope I never part with my 75 Jazz!
16. Sorry, I didn't mean that other jazz thread. Don't worry about it, discussed over PM with Andy, pas de probleme!
17. I agree, but I think it's important to state that is the case, in order to be completely transparent about the sale. If you see the OP's other jazz for sale, you'll recognise quite a difference in sales technique! Hence my query (and not suspicion).
18.
must admit am at a loss to understands Mike's question
Being familiar with the OP's style of posting/writing, and looking at the other ad he currently is running, it just didn't seem like his own words. Recently, someone came in for a lot of flak for simply copy & pasting an original owner's ad - I just wanted to clarify this before it got too late. No offence was meant, it was a simple question, and required a simple answer! Case closed.
19. I suggested a trade of a 6er - interested at all?
20. My 75 jazz has that amount of wear on it, doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm not worried about mint instruments.
21. Is that your description, or the original sellers description?
22. I would love this, but the only way at the moment would be by doing a p/ex with my Esh custom 6.
23.
hehehehehe
?
24. Sorry, it was for the OP - potential trade-bait.
25. Here it is. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=26371
