1.
Hi - I'm in Braintree!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Greetings! I lived in "The Yard" for while - very near the station. Just one year, but a little far away from all my other business in Chelmsford, so had to knock that on the head!
2. Mike

All Sold!

Any old jazz bass necks, ideally rosewood with blocks?
3. Stuart Zender, Nick Fyffe and Paul Turner perhaps ?
4. I was just up in Audley End the other day, the house was all decked out for Xmas, lots of seasonal produce etc, lovely stuff. Beautiful part of the world. Nice drive through Finchingfield, Great Bardfield etc.
5. Remind me, who's getting a rough value?
6. +9 =57
7. I gig mostly around Colchester/Clacton etc!
8. 1975 Jazz 1979 Precision (now sold, sadly) 1968 Jazz (modded and defretted) Some lovely basses in this thread! Regards Mike
9. There's at least three of us from Chelmsford (myself included) around these Basschat parts!
10. Ah, I was thinking that, but wasn't sure if I was correct. Thankyou!
11. Is this the normal MIJ one ?
12. My favourite musician in the world today! Just saw him with Mike Stern in NYC, talked to them both afterwards. Awesome!
13. Looks like it's going to be a great one! Can't wait to see more pics.
14. I think any musician, or even standup comedian, when put under the microscope by us lot, would sound like they can be very repetitive. I love both versions of this song, but particularly the Shadows and Light one. Jaco was actually musical director for this touring band. The only problem is, on the DVD, the idiots who edited cut to casino montages just as it gets really interesting between JP and Brecker!
15. A nice vintage handbag too, Joe, intentional?
16. I use this with a 75 Jazz, tres nice.
17. I don't understand what everyone's on about. But anyway - can you tell me a little about the electronics/pickups etc? Grazi!
18. Bare in mind that in my case, Joe, he was hit by the floods which delayed him considerably, as well as Nordstrand taking an age to send pickups. But in essence, I'm in agreement. However, when I play the bass, it all seems worth it - and doesn't seem fragile at all!
19. Try Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue"!
20. Ha had LEDs on his bass? What was he playing?
21. Magnificent - still drinking in the finish!
22.
Is this near Berks? http://www.musiccentre.co.uk/acatalog/Mark_Bass.html
+1 - Mike gets all my Markbass business, always does me the best price, absolute gent to deal with!
23. This would match my shuker really well - but unfortunately it's just a little more than I can afford to put down on it right now.
24. Superb - looks absolutely brilliant. I'm glad you've finally got your grubby paws on it. Looking forward to the pics!
25. Indeed - longest solo on any Dan record!
