I am in a fortunate position to have a number of cabs to carry out trials on. cabs with no logo, just a perforated grill, and I literally covered the areas that I wanted to place the logo on to hear the effect it has.....Its certainly not done with no consideration to the effects Keep this in mind. The grill is set away from the port by about 35mm. The logo solid area is about 20mm wide..... The port at exit diameter is roughly 120mm I ran low freq level test tones and obviously played cabs side by side. Try it yourself on a cab at some point - remember you are not shoving something right at the exit of the port, but placing something over the grill that is set well away from the port exit. The logo over the port location made [I]no audible difference [/I]to the cab. The foundation 112's are shaping up nicely but until I have tried a few more options on drivers and crossovers, then I am not going to rush into production with them. The grills on these have Logo badges for the time being, but final production runs will be CNC punched as the Foundation 212. I try and carry out trials with a realistic approach, and concentrate on live testing where possible. Blue Aran is generally a good place for the drivers. Adam hall is an Eminence importer, but small orders dont tend to be worth it once you add shipping. Driver prices have gone through the roof over the last few months.....

These are your mid range drivers not HF drivers, although lots of players are happy with how high these go and don't feel the need for a HF driver as well. The LA6 CBMR is a closed back (ie its completely sealed) The Alpha 6 is not. So you would need to build a sealed enclosure for the Alpha if you buy that one, and you would be taking away cab volume. Both would work well but I would opt for the LA6 CBMR out of those two. Dave

Good stuff You may find that the mid range overtakes the 10" in relative output so an attenuator would be a must if you do go down the mid range driver option. John at Audio components UK is a good source for crossover parts Dave

Fantastically well done. I sent over the image to Bryn and the first sample arrived within the week. I decided to include a Roqsolid cover with every cab. Cracking little cabs the Peavey 210TX's....!! I still have one that has served me for many years. Used to gig with a pair of them. Its just sat in my office as a home practice cab now..... Dave
