1. Increasingly hesitating buyer finally dropped out - so back up for sale!
2.
Does it matter as to the cause of his passing? All that matters is that yet another huge musical landmark has been removed from the landscape. The extremely sad part is that, with all the big names we've lost recently, there are no new true talents filling the void that's left.
+100 The moral argument is (as usual) irrelevant. I wish he was still with us, and I don't care what he chose to take or not. Btw, I suspect might have to do with painkillers that he could have taken to be able to perform at the Atlanta gig, which would be utter professionalism.
3. I am so devastated that I genuinely hope it's just another one of his tricks and that he will resurface in ten years, after releasing all of the vault. It will sound childish but, unconsciously, it always felt like Bowie and Prince were immortal. I am so not prepared for this.
4. Oh please no...
5. Up it goes in search of a loving home
6. Seeing that my sales are on fire, bump
7. On hold pending the usual
8. I think it is going to be very difficult to get that tone with a PU in the P position. A Stingray has nothing to do with that tonally. The more you move the PU towards the bridge, more mwah. Plus technique, etc.
9. Very glad to hear that - it deserves a loving home! This one is just as good, but with a different sound palette (high and low frequencies are centered at different points compared to the Bass Maniac, and it has the mid cut switch). The perfect companion if you are up for it! Forgot to mention: the brass nut design is also impressive - and adjustable
10. The Yamaha Nathan East NE-1 offers variable EQ curves with different types of mids cut (and boost of other freqs). Not mid boost per se though, if that's what you want. I've had several EQ pedals (including an Xotic Tri-logic) and none quite matches the 'sweet spot' of the NE-1. Only works on a 9V battery, and it is more of a table top device, not properly a 'pedal' as it is always on.
11. Boutique sound in a bass you're not afraid to take out of the house...
