  2. A pain indeed if they are thick... but 'not fit' was puzzling me...
  3. How can strap locks not fit a strap? Must be a special strap? Pardon the ignorance...
  4. Final price drop: 1100£! Too low for a bass of this quality and beauty, but needs to go!

  6. It may grow on you.., 😀 Final price drop: 300£ all included
  7. Hi So having owned for many years a MIJ Tune Bassmaniac, I was curious to compare with the later Korean models. In all honesty, what I discovered is that this bass is as good, if not better than (e.g. the bridge), the Japanese classics. Which means that this is amazing value for money! It is a 2006 model with bubinga front and back, Tune's own pickups and 2-band pre. This particular model has 20 mm string spacing at the bridge, hence the nickname. It also has a switch to cut mids. It is an excellent bass all around, particular highlights for me are: - it has the 'Tune tone' - clear, snappy highs, and a sweet low end. Works equally well for slap, fingerstyle and pick - the neck! Supremely comfortable, super-fast and not as skinny as on the Bassmaniac - the aluminum bridge, fantastic design Specs are here: http://www.tuneguitars.com/#!swv4-bb-spec/c1ra2 The bass has signs of use, but none offending. Weight is 3.8 kg. Comes with original, immaculate Tune padded gig bag. Shipping included. I will seriously consider getting another in the future, but none of my FS basses are moving... 8. It is a criminal offense that this is still here. What are people thinking
  9. It is a beauty indeed, moreso in the flesh. Did I mention the wooden covers on pickups and knobs and the fully adjustable bridge (including string spacing)? 😊 A top quality handmade bass for not much more (sometimes less) than your average used Stingray or Fender...
  10. What can you do... It's a sloooow market it seems Although I doubt it will make a difference, I'll put this for a few days at the amazing price of 2000£!
  11. Bump for a fantastic bass
  12. A beauty and still here... Not for long, it seems - trades are tempting!
  13. Hi I really love this bass, but need to reduce my collection again. This is JD's basic model from a few years back, which means that it doesn't have any fancy wood top, and it's a bolt-on construction. It's a 35", with Jerzy's own pickups on an absolutely silent Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Controls are volume, balance, hi, mid, lo - and active/passive switch. The volume is the same in active and passive with the eq flat. I love the slim body, light weight and the worn-in feel of the neck. It has JD's own bridge design and Gotoh tuners, Schaller straplocks. The previous sales thread is here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/226558-jerzy-drozd-basic-4-string-traded/ The bass has been used, so there are several minor marks here and there in the body, but nothing too apparent. Frets are great, fingerboard perfect. The tone is modern, reminds me a bit of my Dingwall super J with pickups in parallel - very growly. It comes with an excellent JD-branded hard/soft case. Shipping to EU included with UPS. Wouldn't mind at all to keep it, to be honest. Thanks!
