I really fancy a 4 string fretless but they only seem to do them in natural wood, white scratch plate and maple neck, which looks so bland!
I thought the same, but when mine arrived it actually looks very classy. It is an excellent fretless btw.

The Sire M3 feels remarkably similar to my Yamaha BB, but is much more versatile tonally. That is, if you want a 'modern' tone. The other classic versatile configuration is a PJ. Then you have a J or a P, which by definition will give you a particular basic tone - you can shape it with active EQ, but the basic tone will more or less always be there. Looks to me like you have to make up your mind first about these basic options (modern, PJ, J or P), then look for specific models.

If you guys want passive and a Fender headstock, the answer is Squier? I personally think having sophisticated electronics in such an affordable bass is a great idea. Don't care about the headstock shape, really.

Hi all A true specialty item... Guess only for Prince fans (though it shouldn't be!). HS Anderson were the original manufacturers of Prince's famous Hohner Telecaster, which was part of a very limited run. Several replicas have been attempted since the late 70s, early 80s, but none up to par. Recently, HS Anderson started producing again the MadCat, and I couldn't resist! But I am not really a telecaster guy, so a great opportunity for someone. These are available new in Europe from Max Guitar Store in Holland, see https://www.maxguitarstore.com/brands/hs-anderson/ The guitar is a beautiful, perfect tele, lightweight and resonant, built to perfection. The pickups are amazing, full of vintage tele tone. The neck is thin and fast, it's one of those guitars you love to just hold in your hands. I've taken very good care of it so it is in mint condition. Original hard case, keys and certificate, and shipping included. Straight sale price is 1500£, all included. Indulge yourselves! 😀 Thanks! Hi And this is my second Gibson USA for sale, a beautiful and incredibly versatile Nighthawk (2010 edition) finished in Chicago blue, with push-pull on both knobs for single coil, and a strat-like blade 5-pos PU switch. Extremely comfortable to play. Excellent condition, comes with original hard case. These are discontinued, fantastic guitars. Specs here: www.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Designer/Gibson-USA/Nighthawk-Standard-2010.aspx Shipping to Europe included in the price. Thanks!

Hi all, Needs must, so I have to move on a couple of really nice guitars. The first is a Made in USA Gibson SG Futura, anniversary model, fully loaded, with a boost switch, push/pull volume pots for split coil, and robotic tuners (watch the guitar tune itself!). Specs here: http://www.gibson.co.../SG-Futura.aspx The color is greenish blue, very nice in my opinion. The guitar is mint, the price includes original hard case, keys, papers, charger for the tuners battery and shipping in Europe. The only trades I would consider are for discontinued but recent Fenders: Super-sonic, Jaguarillo or Mustang Special. Thanks!

55-60s are great in my opinion. If your set up is noisy, you may want to shield the electronics and PUs, especially if the bass has had an active preamp fitted. I've had two DJs and moved them on, kept the JOs - something about the DJ's smaller body shape just didn't feel right for some reason. Very personal anyway. The recent Sire Marcus Miller V7 are head to head with Skyline Laklands, and cheaper - I think the neck of Laklands is better, the Sire's electronics are incredible though.
