1. Hi Got this recently and really like it, but find myself now hankering for another beauty, for which I need to raise as much cash as possible... STRAIGHT SALE PRICE: 400£ - now only 350£! Anyhow, a made in USA custom Carvin lined fretless, three-band eq, neck-through construction, blueburst finish, 2TEK bridge, detuner on E string. The bass has been well used and it shows on the proverbial light scratching on the back of the body (the kind you see at a certain angle under the light) and a few minor dings here and there. The fingerboard is in very good condition. Of note, the back of the neck has a satin finish - something I prefer, but some may not. The bass is active/passive - with vol, pan, lo, hi and mid (in this order - the mid control was an option back then apparently). A pretty unique feature is that the mid control is centred on a rather low frequency - so think of it as a low-mid control. Favor the bridge pickup, pump up the mid control and you get a beautiful singing tone. It is one of the fretlesses that can be slapped without problem - it retains that 'snap'. The 2TEK bridge is impressive - it goes from front to back through the body. The pots crackle a bit when turned if sound is present - something I'm told is solved in 5 minutes if you know what you're doing with some cleaner (I have no idea). The bass plays very well, the neck is slim and nice - as happens often with Carvin, it is easily on par with basses two or three times more expensive! Shipping included in the asking - paypal ok if you cover any fees. No case, but I can get a basic gig bag for better protection during shipping (plus obviously bubblewrap, cardboard box etc). Thanks! 7. 60£ for the tuners, 50£ for the bridge. Note one grub screw missing on the bridge. Brand new, come with screws for installation. Bridge has string spacing of 16.5-17 mm (hard to tell) at the centre position of the saddles - but is adjustable. Dimensions are 7.8 * 5 * 1 cm. There's two sets of four holes for installation, the spacing between holes is 1.65 cm. The distance from the left or rightmost hole to the side edge is 1.4 cm. Happy to take other measurements for you as needed. Tuners are ultralites - all four weigh 176 g. 8. Thanks Yes it is 34" scale I only have bathroom scales, which say 3.6-3.8 kg approx
9. And on hold pending the usual
10. I would take 'solid' as good, but not outstanding. Like you did your job well, but not particularly excelled at anything. Whether it is the best compliment, depends on what you're after as a player.
11. Hi As a final step in thinning the herd, one of the jewels of the crown: a top of the line Roscoe Signature, built for Shep of this parish, as many of you know, then part-traded with me. Link to the previous ad with all info: http://basschat.co.u...-lg-v-32-scale/ It is an utterly beautiful bass, and I've resisted selling it but have to accept it needs to go. In short: the most compact, lightweight 5-string you can imagine, with extraordinary attention to detail and the finest components. Glockenlang 2-band preamp, Bartolini pickups, active/passive. Strung E to C, string spacing adjustable at the bridge. Did I say it weighs nothing? Allows for extremely low action, no buzzes, modern sound with added warmth. A work of art all around. The neck is super slim, really a breeze to play. Comes with a detuner for the E string, a (currently dettached) kingwood ramp, original hard case and papers. All in MINT condition. Bargain for such an instrument - 2000£!! Thanks!
12. Thanks - both fretted and fretless ACGs are high quality indeed. This one is like a compact Stingray with piezo, on steroids. Also quite lightweight!
13. Reduced even further to 1000£ which is an utter bargain
14. Reduced even further to a rock bottom price of 1400£ for a cash sale
15. Bump for price reduction - needs to go
