1. The 80s were the 80s, and they have their place in history, paving the way for most of the electro-pop that some adore now (and that will probably sound cheesy in one or two decades). I never liked the overproduced stuff and abuse of synth programming, which obscured some outstanding vocal and instrumental talent - some of which you'd struggle to find in most of today's successful acts. But hey, we needed that decade to generate the indie answer of the 90s etc etc. Wham had some really great songs imho, many that were not too good - but it all depends on how you define and measure goodness, as always.
2. 700 with gig bag, 750 with original mint hard case.
3. Get this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/261797-fsft-zon-sonus-custom-4-fretless-plus-roland-gk-3b-pickup-price-drop-now-l1000/ It's a fantastic fretless, and you'll save yourself half the money. I have small hands and playability was great.
4. C'mon folks. This is the perfect 'modern' strat from Fender!
5. Ah, I used to have this! Best fretless I've had, and that was before Shep's impressive QC (it was a perfectly working bass for most of us mere mortals, but his attention to detail and perfectionism is astonishing!) - so I am sure that this is now an *unbelievable* bass, plus the Roland pickup, at a bargain price! GLWTS
6. My first bass... An '89 Spectrum Series II. Keep it only for sentimental reasons but actually the neck is very nice! 7. Are strings too light gauge? If you like heavier, I'd try that first to see if it gets the neck straight?
8. From your explanation, you had too much relief to begin with, then you tightened the truss rod and it naturally became stiffer - it's doing its job of countering string pull. This would have reduced the relief. Now, truss rod moves take a while to 'settle', so you found afterwards that you perhaps tightened it too much (therefore creating buzz due to no relief). If all that is so, you just have to undo what you did a bit - turn the other way a tad. If when you have proper relief action is too high, lower it at the bridge. Or I may have understood nothing 😃
9. Hi For sale my sunburst Fender Tele Acoustasonic, which offers both electric and acoustic sounds. No longer in production I think. Looks classy! I have barely used it, so in mint condition. Comes with the Y cable to process separately acoustic and electric sounds. Mono/stereo operation can be selected through the small switch by the battery compartment. Custom shop neck pickup (twisted tele), Fishman Aura piezo system with volume and tone controls on the upper part of the body - sounds really good for both electric and acoustic sounds (which can be blended to taste), but in the end I favour either my electrics or acoustics, and I could use the cash. Info and review here: http://m.musicradar.com/reviews/guitars/fender-acoustasonic-telecaster-282020/ It sports a lovely rosewood bridge, thru body stringing. Playability is excellent, and it is light as a feather. I'd keep it as it is lovely to grab and have a noodle on (it is a very resonant guitar), but I need to rationalise my stable! Pretty much mint, all strange shapes in the pics are reflections of the light. Will ship in a Fender standard gig bag but very well protected with bubblewrap inside a carton box. Paypal ok (fees on the buyer). Shipping to EU included via UPS. 10. For sale my rather immaculate Am Dlx Strat, in trans amber. Has all the typical features, noiseless pickups, S1 switching, locking tuners, etc. The only 'defect' is a little blurring in the pickguard from adhesive residue of the original protective plastic film. Cash price is 700 with standard Fender gig bag, in mint condition. Reduced to 650£! Thanks
