  1. Ooooooff! Nice. Nuff said!
  2. Damn! That what comes of bowing to my liberal tendencies. I'm going to be Geek's second now. See you in the park at dawn, and we have chosen flatwounds at 700 paces.
  3. Morning to yoos all. This is a murky one indeedy. I had a bass made by CBS Arbiter once - awful thing it was. If someone had a bass with no strings, but bought a set in order to be 'heard', I'd assume that would be allowed? Someone without an amplifier, buying one in order to be 'heard', seems reasonable to me, as long as there is not a earlier amplifier lying under the bed or suchlike, having been discarded due to said 'new amp arrival'. Having said that, it does seem odd to enter this thread, knowing that your collection of equipment was incomplete and therefor, not fit for purpose? Were the decision mine, I'd let Geek99 remain. If it comes down to a duel, baggsie I'll be Neep's second and grab all his gear once he's potted. 😁
  4. That's about the best bargain I've seen on here for a wee while. GLWTS
  5. Sweet Dreams - Roy Buchanan
  6. Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 Aguilar 751 Marshall Super Bass 100 Owned and gigged them all. Each one was wonderful in my view
  7. Always really annoying when some buffoon manages to damage your bass - especially when their excuses begin.
  8. You lucky bulgar you.
  9. Not that I know of, but I maybe missed it. 🤷🏻
  10. Disco Strangler - The Eagles
  11. I wonder what the total bass-count is for all of BC? 🤔
  12. Never played a 'bad' Pedulla. GLWTT
  13. Ah yes. "'Er indoors."
  14. Isn't that a song about gardening, covered by Monty Don, from his album, 'Live at Chelsea'?
  15. If you reckon almost 100 instruments equals 4 wives' worth, you must have a hell of an understanding wife! 😵‍💫
  16. How could I have forgotten good old Les? Les Holroyd of Barclay James Harvest
  17. This guy - Jim Lea from Slade
  18. You need to organise a photograph showing them all, then enter it in the photo competition on this site. This month, it's for 'still life'.
  19. Yes, I must confess to being somewhat anal, re the condition of my basses. An instrument, to me, is a precious object, as I still remember when owning one, was far beyond the realms of possibility for me. Although I love The Who, I always felt annoyed when Pete wrecked yet another guitar.
  20. Best of luck. Get started and give it your best shot. If you find you are enjoying it all, you'll be hooked for life. Let us know how you get on.
