  1. Good luck Steve. Make them good ones. If you do 'retire', don't leave BC though. Best S.
  2. 30th Anniversary Ray - yum, yum. Certainly love mine. Here it is with a couple of mates.
  3. I'd like to third this. SG or EB3 sound fandabidozi.

  8. Hey @neepheid, it's only 15th Jan. could be you'll be the only person on this by 31st Dec. 😂
  9. I believe it sang harmonies
  10. Interested in why you chose to sell your SLB 100 @Beedster? I thought they retailed for an even higher amount.
  11. Wow! Difficult and easy at the same time. There are so many great albums by so many people, in so many different genres that I'm sure the good people here could come up with loads of these. No doubt, whatever someone feels works really well, will have others disagreeing. Anyway, I'm jumping back to early 70s and three tracks from the Slade Alive album : 'Hear Me Calling', 'In like a Shot from my Gun' and 'Darling Be Home Soon'. Reason? Because it shows rockier numbers (not the usual pop singles) and a 'ballad'. Need to go and listen again. 😢
  12. I'd say two/three are reasonable in a two hour rehearsal. Much better to have a tight, completed number than some half-baked, 'that's good enough' attempt.
  13. Height of my bass on its strap goes up and down depending on make/model of bass. Generally however, I probably go for middling position.
  14. A fine piece of kit. GLWTS
  15. As you can see from my avatar/image, I think these basses are great. Very lightweight and lots of different sounds. Best of luck with the sale - it looks lovely.
  16. Agree with Owen. Remember to buy the correct length of string for his bass. Ask him was scale length it is. regarding strap locks, see below:
  17. Walk on By - AWB
  18. Gimme three steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd
  19. Hello to you and delighted that you've come on board. Never ever too late to start. Best. 👍
  20. Hot Property - Head Hands and Feet
  21. Depends on the year. Sixties EB3s had a short headstock, whilst later seventies had long headstock. I'd measure the total length of the bass and drop Gibson an e-mail to see what they think. Good luck.
  22. Oooooohhh! 👀😉
  23. Did you see the ... ... ok, will PM you, 'cause it looks good (and only one careful lady owner). 😂
  24. Don't worry Neeps, I'll let you know of any bargains around Turriff. 🤭
