  1. Gig last week. Sounded very 'Rick-like'.
  2. 1st class. Enjoyed looking at this and am seriously impressed.
  3. Dear Rob, I have no idea regards fret-wire, but am happy to offer my services to find out for you. If you care to post your bass to PO Box 666, Chelmsford, I will personally take it around the world until I find a match. I estimate that this should take us well into the 2030s, but I am sure you will be more than pleased with the result. Snorkie635 Just outside your back door, checking the locks work. (You never can be sure).
  4. Win, win!
  5. There's a new Overwater SS Model on their web-site this very day.
  6. Filthy drive = EBS Metaldrive pedal.
  7. Here's a close shot of one of my Progress basses.
  8. "Right! You're nicked!"
  9. You're forgetting a vintage (or two). YOB? Also something bang-up-to-date with active option, such as an Elite or Ultra.
  10. I believe 'Neep Basses' are moving in?
  11. I'd say you have a good deal there. Looks great to me. Enjoy.
  12. Well, it has been nearly two months, so hey-ho and up she rises, etc. Bump.
  13. Best purchase this year is a black Fender Vintage reissue P bass. Two 'problems' to watch out for in my view: the gloss on the neck is crap and the position markers are almost impossible to see under poor lighting - might not be a problem for others, but just putting it out there.
  14. There's a copy of that very book, up for sale on the site right now - nothing to do with me btw. Info only.
  15. Before it slips what is left of my mind, best wishes to all those attending for an absolutely spiffing day. (NB That was 'spiffing', in case anyone thought my 'L' tab wasn't working there. 'Tab' - oh God, here we go again ...) Have a great one folks.
  16. 1st class bass. Best wishes for a successful sale.
  17. Re OP question. I say yes, if you fancy one. You can always sell/trade it if it doesn't work out. I currently have three and love 'em all.
  18. Mentioned before on BC, that after playing in a pub in Glasgow, a guy beckoned me over to where he was at the bar. "Good band mate," said he, " but if you can ever afford one, you need to try a Fender bass. They're brilliant!" I had been playing an Overwater, hand-built Jazz 5. Ooooooooooh, it really makes me wonder ...
  19. Lovely. Used to own one just like this and highly recommend if yours is as good. GLWTS
