I feel genuinely angry on your behalf. Really hope it works out for you. Unless you specifically ordered a bass to look used, (and your post suggests not), this would be a 'comedy bass', if it weren't so serious a problem. A disgrace and an insult to all the makers out there, struggling to produce the best possible.
