Do local music shops have notice-boards where you can put some information about yourself out there - 'Bass player seeks ...' type of thing? Facebook? Are you up for traveling within a 10/20 miles radius from your gaff? Are there local evening classes for 'guitar' in your area? If there are, drop along. You'd be surprised how many 'tame' bassists are viewed as manna from Heaven and something other than your hip might click. I was gigging in bands five years before you were born -and still am - so, agreeing with comment(s) above, get yourself motivated and give it some. Let us know how it goes. Have a few amps, but mostly gig with Aguilar 751 or Euphonic Audio i-amp 800, into a pair of Bergantino 1x12s or an Eden 4x10. Although I have six class D heads, I, like flapping trousers as well and much prefer old school, hernia-inducing cabs. As I age disgracefully, I worry that Mrs Snorkie might find the 4x10 and the 1x18 as struggle, but have confidence she'll cope somehow. 😉

Usually, when I find something I really like, the company either goes bust, or stops producing that particular model. Finding spares, etc. becomes a pain. Maybe I'm a jinx? 🤭

Do you have a 'local' FE College offering music as part of their curriculum? If yes, you may be able to either place a notice onto the faculty board/web-site, and/or be given an 'introduction' to suitable candidates through a tutor delivering on the course. Sometimes students are looking to participate in live playing scenarios to build credit towards their units. Good luck.
