CSN&Y used to specify that any stage they played on, had to have a hand-woven Persian rug placed for them to stand on. I seem to recall that Nash used to perform in barefoot-mode.

Played barefoot for around four years back in the 70s. Stopped after some kind soul in the audience decided to lob a pint tumbler at my feet one night. Damn thing actually got stuck in my foot - not pleasant at all. So now, tootsies are well covered.

Excellent. Every day is a school day on the old Basschat. Thank you for sharing. 👍

Based purely on the title of this thread, I'd have to say, suppositories and economy-sized tins of Germolene.

Have I Made A Mistake? The Great Conundrum...

A good looking Bongo and a good looking ACG I'd say. As for seller's regret, do you have six months to listen? (Neither did my counsellor.) After all the years, I'm getting very close to the gear I want - maybe three more to buy (?) then no more seller's blues. Enjoy the arrival of the Green Goddess tomorrow. -

OK. Best wishes for that. Enjoy your gigs and the summer. Hop all goes well.

Sorry to hear about the osteoporosis arthritis and some other comments on here. If you feel like your bass-playing days are coming to an end due to 'left-hand' issues, I can't recommend your trying out a Kala electric U-Bass highly enough. If you have had any previous experience with 'rubber-band' mini-basses, forget it. The Kala uses a different type of string and is a completely different animal. Once in tune, it stays there; is seriously lightweight, which addresses any shoulder issues for those with arthritis/back pain, and sounds something like a cross between a DB and a Precision. I used mine recently with a full band and more than a few folk were up and asking what this small instrument with the deep bass voice was. These are not cheap - retailing at around £1250 -but they really are proper instruments and not 'toys'. I thought that posting this might help anyone reading who is unaware of this bass. Of course, it goes without saying, I have no connection to the company or any other incentive to write this other than trying to assist those experiencing pain when playing a 'normal' bass. Photo of my bass for illustration. Best Snork.

Bass gear stolen - keep an eye out?
snorkie635 replied to BassInMyFace's topic in General Discussion
That is sooooooo annoying and frustrating. Still, any circulation of your thread here has to keep the troops aware, and hopefully, looking on your behalf. One again, very best of luck. I really do hope you get back your instrument. 🥺 -
They do indeed seem to be scarce - esp. USA models. Here's hoping the situation improves soon.

Just wondering if you ever got any more info on this one, or found the missing bass? I certainly hope so. -
A classy looking pair indeed. Good luck with the new purchase. Could be that someone in Anderton's is lying trapped under the 'beastie-bass' in some dark corner of their stockroom. Looks like you came out on top. 👍
