    Happy to play fours or fives and regularly take both to gigs. Sixers provide interesting chord opportunities, but I still don't ever think of gigging mine - doesn't really fit with current set-list.

    Looks a lot like a traditional, custom jazz with maple top to me. Should sound really sweet. Why not drop a picture to Overwater and they'll tell you. You may find that if you remove the back-plate, Chris will have signed it off on a label which gives serial number and date of manufacture as well as model. Best of luck.

    I string both SS Gibsons with Rotosound SS - strung the EB3 that way since 1975 - don't use long/medium scale on these basses. 👍😎
