  1. You are more than welcome. I thought you'd like that site. Good luck with your search.
  2. Sounds like some kind of thermal sensor has decided the amp is now at a temperature requiring fan-cooling to kick-in. It will stay 'on fan', until switched off and given time to cool again.
  3. Love it. You've got it bad Andy!
  4. Never played a Hayman - have owned a Shergold double-neck which may have had similarities? Never even heard of a Frontier though. You never know who's reading this and if they might contact you. How good would that be? Good luck.
  5. Fair comment. I too have sold three WALS and don't miss them.
  6. Me too tbh, but somehow, that Fender ... ...
  7. Perhaps correct if it's being used. Let's hope it has a good home
  8. https://www.basschat.co.uk/profile/11876-dad3353/ see above please
  9. Dad3353 I know it's not the model you are chasing, and this one is sold, BUT the guy who runs this lesser-know shop is a Hofner fanatic. Might be worth your while dropping him a note to see if he can help? Good luck. His contact is: https://www.vintagerareandretro.co.uk/news
  10. I feel your pain already. I didn't think I'd be suffering alone. To think these may all be out there, under a bed, unloved, unplayed. I can't take it any more. Sob!😭
  11. Glad to help
  12. We've most likely all got a bass we sold/swapped/'lost' due to a bout of acute GAS or such madness. I'll start my confession with the fact that I once had a 40th anniversary Fender CS Precision which was a wonderful machine. Alas, it's long gone, but will never be forgotten. Why, oh why? There are times I do such stupid things. Which bass do you regret parting company with? Photos?
  13. Mike, the 500 fan will activate after the amp has been driven a bit. Light noodling will not make it activate'. Hope this is clear enough?
  14. Last bump from me. Hope it helps you clinch a deal.😘
  15. This bass was made by Overwater for me. I chose the woods, the ebony board, etc. Whoever buys this will have a fine instrument. Bump for memories. GLWTS This is not a mahogany body - it is American Black Walnut and the neck has purpleheart stringers. English walnut facing on the headstock. Dual Kent Armstrong designed pickups.

  17. It's men like Dusty Hill who make me proud to play bass. His band made me happy. His music made me dance. His style made me envious. Although now gone, he will live in my mind forever as one of the good guys. Bye, bye sharp-dressed man. Thoughts are with his family, Billy and Frank. Thank you for everything.
  18. This has degenerated into standard stories of specs, jugs and brock and roll and should be badged as such.
  19. I joined Basschat almost nine and a half years ago and am now, according to the new 'improved' system, a 'rookie' with two watts! Look forward to the next ten years, when I might make 'owns a bass' status. "Hard boiled eggs and nuts!"
  20. I also think the badge thing stupid. We could always give them back like the Beatles. Fire millions of them at the Administrators. "You say you want a revolution ... ..." 😆
  21. Guilty as charged, but I did not shoot no deputy!
