Hi Is there info on this site anywhere to help with the fitting of the Artec SE 2A bass controls. I cant find any or any help with trouble shooting. I could do with some help as mine isnt working, despite following th wiring diagram carefully. Cheers

It has taken me about 6 days in total to do the work, with sanding taking the most time. It hangs fine standing up and it sits perfectly on me. it might be a bit heavy but I dont mind. Overall the kit was a good way to start and the only thing about it was that I wanted something a bit more individual so binned the original. i did however use it as a template as i wanted to make sure that the geometry of the bridge and pickups was correct. I did however, move the front pick up slightly. There are one or two problems, one is that Im having difficulty tracking down a B500K log potentiometer and there is a slight buzz somewhere, which I think I've found. I have no idea what it will sound like but am looking forward to hearing it for the first time soon! Cheers.

I think that bass looks magnificent. Dare I ask for what it's specs are and what the damage was?
Thank you WB The bass started as a kit which I found out about after another member started a thread on one. I had a look and decided that i could give it a go. I should make clear that although I have done a fair amount on this bass I did not either make the electronic bits or hardware (does anyone else go that far?) and I did not make the neck. the kit cost £149.00

Is the shape wrong?

It's very experimental. This is the first time I've tried to do this.

Just finished (almost) putting this together. Still need to wire up the electrics.

Can anyone reccomend a component supplier as I am trying to find a retailer in or around the Bristol Area. Maplin don't do the right equipment and I have tried searching for a local supplier without much luck. I am trying to find a b500k pot and some copper cavity lining tape/material. Thanks for any responses in advance! Cheers Matt

Hi How is this build going? Cheers Matt

PMT in Bristol are bloody awful. Absolutley rubbish service. Mostly surly and unhelpful. I bought an amp from the store. The amp was price matched to the web site. I think that because the staff were sellling something cheaper than they wanted, they didnt care a rats ass about my money. I asked one of teh staff about the amp, and was told that they didnt know much about it. I was directed to another member of staff who asked me to wait while they finished talking to someone else. No problem there but once I had talked about the amp and the price match, I pretty much got ignored. Staff member wandered off and then I had to go and find him. I then got tol sthat I couldn't have the box and I had to reall hassle to get a mains lead for the amp. There was no paperwork and I had to demand a receipt. if the amp hadnt been quite so cheap, then I wouldnt have wasted either my time or my money there. It's a real shame they dont have much competition in Bristol. I think it would be better to go to Mansons that use PMT if in the South West. You have been warned. Cheers Matt
Originally bought the Little Giant 350 and MAG 210T cab and then later added the 115 cab to bolster the sound for live. Selling because I never got the tone out of it that was right for me. If you're looking to take the step up from a combo to a proper gig stack then it'd be perfect. Alternatively if you're looking for something flexible for pub gigs etc. it'd be spot on too. The head unit is rackmounted alongside a dual-channel dbx266XL compressor which works very well with the setup, especially for slapping techniques. Ideally I'd like to sell it all together but I have no problem is splitting the gear. Pickup/collection is much much better for me but I can courier if must. Selling the complete rig for £400. Would also look at trade + part-ex. Pictures are following when uploaded in a few minutes.
How much for just the LG350? I''f youre prepared to sell seperatly Id be very interested. Cheers Matt

I am going to suggest that this thread gets closed as presently, nothing seems to be happening at all with the organisation of a SW Bass Bash. In fact I believe that it is in fact almost detrimental to one ever being organised. I think that the one person who was making definite in roads to possibly organise one, may well have been marginalised by the application of the current poll. For that, I apologise. Hopefully, if another thread does appear on this subject, it will be when therhe is a chance that the bash might happen, which I truly hope it does as it was this thought that prompted me to answer the question in the first place. I hope this is OK with everyone, unless of course you all strongly disagree. Cheers Matt

I like the Chorus sound on the tascam, so mine stays on a lot of the time.
