How many gigs have you done with this rig BBC, is it reliable?
Never gigged with it. Home practice and one rehearsal only. Never had any problems with it. The head was bought off our very own Alien who knows a thing or two about maintaining these kind of things.
Bit like me then. I'm 42 on Friday (not sure how the feck that happened ) and my missus has just turned 30. Been together for 12 years now. Everyone pegs me for about 30ish (< pic taken 2 weeks ago) can't say the same for her though. Time for a newer model I think.
You're a lucky man. Although I think I look quite fresh faced, people usually think i'm in my early to mid 30's (I've just turned 27). Someone even suggested 39 the other day! It's probably because I act to mature though. -
Sorry for being thick dude, but I can't actually see a price for it...... Possibly interested though.
Well spotted! There isn't a price listed! But mentally, I've reduced what I would accept! Make me an offer, I won't be offended if it's ridiculously low.

Same ol'd BassChat - people pretending to be upset or insulted.
+1.. For christ sake its just another style. Fingers , Pick, Palm Mute, your cock... Does it really matter? I think this Post needs to be in the 'Recycling Unwanted Items' Postings. Or at least rename this one 'General Bass Ballshit' Garry
I don't know why you lot give such a sh*t about it. Its just chatting sh*t. I know I'm a role model to many, but I seriously don't expect my comments about Mark King to have any effect on anything. I don't like slap, others do. The world moves on. If you're so bored by these discussions, move on a let it die a death. People throwing their toys out of the pram because not all of us are Mark King fans make it sound like BassChatters are supporting apartheid. They're not, they just don't like slap!
wow... That was a fitting description of slapping. I think I will be going back to TB, they actually seemed more open for playing bass the way YOU want over there.
You're a real heartbreaker.
Personally I'm amazed at the amount of slap hate shown here. All this time I thought that I was escaping the guitarist 'contempt for other guitarists' syndrome by coming to a positive and engaging community, but I guess that it's a case of same poison, different bottle. There are opinions and there are blatantly negative and destructive statements, and both are alive and kicking at Basschat.
Since when has there been anything wrong with hating something? I hate all this "hate is a very strong word" horse-sh*t. Strickly Come Dancing - I f***ing hate that. Its not that I don't appreciate it, its not that I don't understand it, I just f***ing hate it! Like Mark King. His slapping has become a self parody. When I hear non-disco slap, I think its a piss take. Now, if you think Hi-Techs are de rigeur, then you probably enjoy it. I'm more than happy for people to love something that I hate. Marcus, as for me slapping like Mark "cock-chops" King, I can't slap a note. I've never had the need or desire too. I can appreciate how clever it is. I can appreciate the time that has gone into it. But for me, its like those fellas who can fit a 2litre coke bottle up their arse - an impressive party trick but not something I'd want to do myself.

Looks like a classic shill bid to me!
And on what experience do you base this opinion please?
Never used it. But it's still sh*t. If I want to buy something, I want to buy it. I don't want to enter into an auction for it. Also, when I look at stuff on there, most of it seems to be online shops as opposed to individuals selling stuff. Most things on there also seem overpriced. I'm sure there's a few bargains, but you really have to search for them. I'd rather pay more and not have the hassle. As for selling on it, that really is sh*t. Unless your lucky enough to sell it to someone who lives close to you, you have to post stuff. As I am unable to use the post office, I'm f***ed. You also need to upload pictures, fill in forms, do stuff etc. At 27, I'm too old to learn a new things like this. I don't think you'll find a stronger and more conclusive argument then the above. From now on, I propose that you all stop using it. -
Lice?
Just counted all my possesions. 97, but that's including the corpses in the basement. I probably shouldn't declare those though. -
I've done over 100 transactions on eBay - does that make me a Power-C*nt?
Indeed it does. I don't own 100 things. -

Ebay is for c**ts. I'd never buy or sell anything on that f***ing thing. -
OOooooo a PRS ......... (I'm still laughing now!)
BigBeefChief replied to The Burpster's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Funny. Everyone knows PRS can't make basses. -
Have you checked for bees?

Very occassionaly, in a disco track, its acceptable. Anything else, and you end up sounding like that prick Mark King. The only reason you'd like him is if you're "of a certain age" or bullied at school for having a coat that smelt of vinegar. I am a young man who was far to hard to ever be bullied. My coat smelt fresh. I didn't drink lemon cordial. Therefore, I can maintain that non-funk/disco slap is the preserve who those who think Hi-Tech trainers are cool and rolling the sleeves up on a blazer is acceptable. Thank you.

And so I return to the land of the living.

It's like hanging out with John Nettles, Nigel Havers and that pouting prick from The Professionals. -
The kid's only 19 and is in a hole he can't get out of. I couldn't find my own a*** with both hands when I was 19. Leave him alone to lick his wounds. Pathologising him will make it worse not better. He has to make peace with his own conscience before he can move on and berating him in public will only slow that process down.
I was the Royal Marines youngest ever Troop Commander at 19 Bilbo. Age is no excuse.
