1. Wrong forum mate. Zach
2. Bump for the Whammy. Zach
3. Bah, need to raise money for other things, so these are up for sale, my two favourite pedals. A Digitech Whammy IV. These are the re-issues, the bright red ones. Again, pretty much as new, no finish damage, nothing crackles, everything works just fine. In the box is the warranty, the original USA power supply, and a second UK power supply. I tried to run it from my power supply, but apparently they've been designed not to accept the usual Boss style 9v leads, but the power supply included fits fine. Price wise, £90 for the Whammy IV. Postage is NOT included in these prices. Afraid I won't be doing trades on these, except for a reasonably decent Multi Fx. If you want actual pictures, drop a message on here and I'll see what I can do. Zach
4. I play it as is, we manage to stay in time pretty well, save a couple of slips every now and again. Zach
5. For string skipping, I pretty much just constantly use my index finger on, say, G on the E string, and my middle on G on the D string, and if needs be, I can just pull my middle back up for a faster run, then switch back. I practiced octaves a lot when I started, and I was taught with fingers initially. Try learning stuff with a lot of octaves in to help develop that sort of style, which I find works really well. Zach
6.
I saw it about a month after I started playing bass, and stuck with it since . I self taught but after watching videos on it more recently people seem to go for the index - middle - ring order of picking? Does everyone here do that? I always always always without fail do the opposite, and find it much easier.
Yeah, I find ring-middle-index easiest as well. I was browsing MarloweDK's youtube a while back, and saw his video on metal finger-picking and he said index-ring-middle-index-middle, which I struggled with. I'd get it going, then try to focus on it and just foul it up, so I gave up on trying to relearn my finger picking technique, which is more then adequate so far, considering I'm a 15 year old kid playing in punk and metal bands. Zach
7. +1 to the above, I've also found some musicians improve under the influence. Some, mind you, one of my old guitarists couldn't handle his drink and was falling over himself after a couple of bottle of WKD. Considering my generation appears to be shaping up to be the worst/best for drinking, pretty poor turnout really Zach
8. Colour me interested, PM'd. Zach
9. You could try a Digitech Whammy IV, but it only has a +1 and dry, but it sounds pretty good, and tracks well. I'm thinking of selling mine soon, so if you want it, we can work something out. Zach
10. What is the Ohmage/Wattage on this? Zach
11. Methinks one of the Mods is messing with you Zach
12. Yeah, will talk to him in the next couple of days about this, because my pedals are annoying me, because I never seem to have any patch leads, and they never sound the same twice in a row. Zach
13. Just to say, if my dad allows it, then I'll probably be buying this off you, will know by then end of the week. Zach
14. It stings the eyes, in a good way Zach
15. Damn, I really want this, would you be willing to do trades? Zach
16. Don't suppose you could get a pic that actually shows the bowing in the neck could you? Am seriously considering this. Zach
17. Don't suppose you have any soundclips? Zach
18. Hey, I have an EHX Bass Big Muff and a Digitech Whammy IV that I'd be willing to trade for this, if you want Zach
19. I personally use either Dunlop straplocks, or my Dimarzio Cliplock, both brilliant for quick changes and are practically impossible to pull apart, check them out. Zach
20. Mmm, nice. Probably my favourite looking 6'er. Just plain awesome, hopefully getting this for my GCSE results, if those are any good Just looks and sounds great. Classic bit of P Bass-ery there, but imagine it with a black pickguard instead. One of my all time favourites, my dream bass lol. Zach
21. New amp, no question about it. You can play thrash with a clean tone, but you can't play anything in a band with a 15w P.O.S with effects on top. Zach
22. Black, no question in my mind. This looks awesome BTW. Zach
23. Ehh, I have an old Schecter Extreme 4 I picked up for £220, a Digitech Whammy IV and a EHX Bass Big Muff, if any of that is your bag. Zach
24. Don't suppose there's anything you'd be willing to trade for this? Also, does it have a pitchshifter? Zach
25.
Seeing as I've been away for so long.. so here's updated ones of me... in particularly stupid poses as per..
Lol, reminds me of emo type girls posing for their Myspace pics to look 'arty' and 'mysterious', only, you look less like a tool, and quite good Woo, it's me. Ages ago, with my old Fender in my ex-drummers room at practice. Very small space, kind of cramped in most of the time. Zach
