Correct, board to be stuck accross them both soon. Each one is in a different loop with a different sweep set for each and different drive with them, then mixed. It sounds like an ogre belching.
Epic win Clips or it didn't happen lol Zach

Ashdown MAG410T vs Marshall JCM800 Bass Series 1935A...
Jarhead replied to StevieD_FenderP2009's topic in Amps and Cabs
If you can afford keeping it if you don't like it, buy it. I'll probably have it if you don't like it On a more serious note, get it, see what its like, and if its not your thing, then you can sell it on to someone else who might like the sound it has. Zach -
You need a wood board across those Wahs for true Commerford-esque sounds. Looks absolutely epic man. Zach

Do some of us need reminding that jokes aren't funny after they've been explained? Zach

Just as an aside, even though you already have the Big Muff, I know for a fact that Hot Rox UK stocks the Bass Big Muff readily, and they sell it for £50. If you ever decide to change, I fully recommend the BBM. Zach

Last time I used a Turbo Rat I instantly wanted one, but didn't have the money. I've got a Bass Big Muff, and I want a Turbo Rat to run with it. Anyone got one they would sell for mere pittance? I am but a poor teenage musician Zach

Next gig I'll be wearing a shirt and black tie to symbolize it being the bands last gig. Mentioned it to the others, do't know if they took it on board or not lol. Zach

Yep, no problem with going through a DI for a gig, but if you do, its pretty much a must to have good enough monitors so you can hear yourself. If you do, I would get hold of the best DI you can afford, because you want something reliable that also sounds good, and won't break. If you have the cash, a REDDI is supposed to be good, but there are always other options if you don't like the tone, like the Sansamps, Tech 21's, and many many more. Look around, see what you like, but your going to have to rely on good monitors, or your buggered. Zach

Bought BC Rich Mockingbird off, him, great guy to deal with. Zach

My drummers great. We play Blink 182 type pop punk, and he has a very Travis Barker thing going on, i.e. can come with beats that fit, but still sound interesting; fills that add to the music, rather then fill up needed space. He's a great drummer. Bit of a shame that we are splitting the band up really. I'll probably hit him up again after we've finished college/sixth form and see if he want's to get anything going again.

'Ere, I think I just stepped in summat, it bloody reeks!' Me and my mate Alex on the bus on the way home, I'm on the left by the way, before you get any ideas This was a while ago, but I look pretty much exactly the same. Ahh, the wonders of being 15. Zach -
Looking through my MP3 player, if you want metal, something by Protest the Hero would be good, very technical bassist, especially as he sings as well, lots of double handed tapping. Zach

Well, I've actually got the Whammy IV, the re-issue. I'm sure that the original is great, but I don't know anyone with one lol. The Bass Whammy is supposed to be brilliant though, never used it. Zach
-
I like that Whammy sound, with the digital artifacts when you play a chord and your never perfectly in tune so you get that strange digital sound. Can't be beaten really, I think the only one that's better is the Bass Whammy, and I don't think anyone is really going to be selling one on here lol, it's tough enough to find a user with one on Talkbass.
Quick diversion into off topicness - what settings do you use for that? Sounds fun On topic - I use a Hartke too, which is great but also have a simple passive DI box. Cheers Alun
Lol, well, it's been a while since I used it so the settings may have changed slightly, but it looks like Harmonics 0, Mix all the way to effect, Shape roughly halfway between 320 and 850, Level around half, but I doubt that has too much effect, Bass on 11'o'clock, Treble on 2'o'clock, Brite on full. If that doesn't get it, then there may be something actually messed up in the pedal that is doing it, not sure lol. I think that both switches are on as well. Try it and see, that could be the settings. Zach

Yeah, DHA kit is really good stuff, and if you don't like it, then you could probably sell it on here no problem. I use an old, busted up Hartke Bass Attack for DI, and every now and again, I use it as an effect because I can get a sound where its like a voice through an amp simulator, that kind of tinny sound, cool, but slightly useless, will probably upgrade soon enough. Zach
-
I would take just a DI, as any further tone shaping past pedals would probably make it difficult for the sound man. That's why DI's are usually taken pre-EQ from the head/combo/pedal. Also, I tried the bass metaphors earlier, and it seemed a bit pointless, as the distortion was barely noticeable, and the EQ didn't seem brilliant, but it may have been a dodgy unit. Zach
-
That sounds pretty good Cheddatom. I should actually be going up to Stoke soon to see my girlfriend, maybe we could just do that in person. I'm liking your band by the way, really good songs. How big is the little thing? I'm going to be building a pedalboard soon, jsut wondering so I know how big a space to leave for it. Zach
-
Ah, OK. How much more complex would this make the circuit? If you can scrawl out a really basic diagram with the values of components on, I can get my electronics teacher at school to help me out with it. Zach

God help them should a patch cable fail on them... Zach
