1. Hey guys, I need some help. I want to build a small mixer type thing, two channel job with a single output. It's for my Whammy pedal, and I want to take the outputs, distort them separately and then mix them back together. I'd want it to be passive if at all possible. I'd prefer two separate volumes, much like a Jazz bass has, two inputs, a single output, and the wires as short as possible. I'd also prefer it to be as small as possible, MXR size or smaller if possible. I'm just wondering what parts I need, and also a basic wiring diagram, just to have a rough idea of what to do, as this is my first build of this type. I can already solder, and I can get hold of the parts easily enough. Thanks for any help you guys can give me, it's greatly appreciated. Zach
2. It actually started to hurt my eyes after looking at it for about 20 seconds. Where did you get that paint? I want to try something similar with my P.O.S Encore. Zach

Dodgy Pedals

I think that a Proco RAT or Turbo RAT would be good for Song 2, I was trying one out the other day and it had a really great sound. It's around £85 new I think. Zach
4.
That SGZ is stunning! I remember seeing one on ebay ages ago and having REALLY bad GAS!
Yeah, might want to talk to a doctor about that. It can really mess with your social life Zach
5. I would so buy that if I had any cash. I'm forming a metal band as well, that would just be perfect lol. Zach
6. I'd just put them both in next to each other, then maybe bolt a piece of metal between them if I was unsure of its stability. Should be fine like that I'd guess. Zach
7. Well, if you want a preamp type thing in pedal form, there is the Tech 21 VT Bass pedal, which is designed to replicate the SVT tone. Zach
8.
i just turn up, even if i don't know anyone, us basschatters are a friendly bunch i made a few friends
Yeah, I was the same. Luckily, budget bassist recognized me in the car park outside the pub before anyone else got there, so we messed about with each others bass's for a bit. Just turn up and start talking to people there, make new friends and try bass's, that's what bass bashes are about. Zach
9. Its been a while since I used it, but I think it resembles a patch that was on my old Zoom multi fx. Alien something or other. It has been a while since I used it because I broke it, but I think it was similar to that. It sounds a lot like some sort of bit crusher effect as well. Experiment a bit I say. Zach
10.
That's proper weird.
Yeah, I don't know what that 'No Plan B Info' means either. Zach
11. I like the sound of the Visual Sound pedal. Any sound clips of it with a bass? Zach
12. Don't suppose you ever come near Derby? Zach
13. Afraid to say, Gibson do make the strings they put on their guitars from the factory. You might want a slightly heavier E string so it doesn't feel slack in drop D. Zach
14. Noooooooooooo, why do you have to be in Bristol?! If you were posting it, or lived closer to me I'd have this off you. Zach
15. PM'd Zach
16. I'm liking the Ibanez style monkey grip its got. IS it just there for the sake of being there, or will you use it properly? Throwing your bass around, etc. Zach
17. Headstocks different, the curve has been brought back a bit, then made deeper to allow the furthest part of the headstock to be closer without ruining the flow of the design. Zach

MODboards

Cool, thanks. When I get round to it, I'll be putting up a build diary of the mods I'll be doing to an Epiphone EB3, and installing a MODboard is going to be one of them. I hope that it can handle a bass well, seeing as these are designed for guitars, but if not it isn't a huge loss, and I can wire it into one of my mates guitars anyway. Zach

MODboards

Right, I was on the GuitarFetish website, and I stumbled across these 'MODboards'. These are built in effects that do distortion, chorus, delay, tremolo and another one I can't remember. I've been looking to get hold of and mod an EB3 and I think that putting in the distortion MODboard would be quite useful. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it already or knew where to get them in the UK. Zach
20. Dunlops are my favoured straplocks, rock solid hold and they don't need tightening, and the dual design ones can be used with other straps as well. The flush mounted ones are good but can be a pain if you don't have a strap with the locks on. Zach
21. What everyone else said, and how much you wanting for it? Zach
