1. Bumpage, make me an offer people! Zach
2. Haha, don't look at me Yeah, it plays great (for me anyway, I set the action fairly high so I can really dig in). I'll see if I can drag my amp and pedals with me next time, couldn't last time because my mum couldn't take me, and she had the bigger car at the time, hence using a gu1t@r gigbag for my Fender. Zach
3. Rough price for the Musicman Sub? Interested, but I don't know if I can afford it. Zach
4.
sweet, that looks pretty nice, nice one
Yeah, loving it right now, great tone, really hot output as well lol. Needs new strings soon though. ORganize another bash and I can bring it with my amp as well Zach
5.
WTF Why would they do that? I don't know these guys, but they obviously inhabit a different world to me. It's when I'm on the road that I tend to do my bulking up Steve
Those band mentioned are very hardcore type bands, especially Sick of It All. They are extremely active around the stage, and doing that every or most nights can really take it out of you if you haven't prepared. Zach
6.
what schecter is it? hotlink us to some generic web pic for now, i wanna see
Haha, alright then, but you can't buy it off me (well, for the right offer ) Zach
7. Haha, I think my brothers taken the camera on tour with him, so it will have to be next week for pics. Also, fixed the band link in my sig. Zach
8. I'm selling because I just got a new bass, my Schecter, which is really nice and in my opinion beats the Fender, and I need the cash for various other things. K.O.D hasn't broken up, I probably b@llsed up the link lol. I'll sort it in a moment. Zach
9.
Me at the Strawberry Fair Preview gig =]
Here, this ones almost the same age as me! Good lord, they really are getting younger every day. Zach
10. Dunno if you noticed mate, but this is other musically related stuff Zach
11.
No problem, I've just got it on hold for BC'er, if it falls through I'll let you know.
Oki, be great if I got it, but if I don't I have my eye on that DHA amp for sale, and the modeling facilities on here were what I was most interested in. Zach
12. OK, I might be able to drum up the cash, assuming I can move my Fender on, which would be £220, then I could scrounge the extra £40 off my dad. Zach
13. Have you got a power amp to go with that? IF you do, and I can afford it, I may well have it off you. Zach
14. Don't suppose you would be interested in a p/ex for £200 and a Boss TU-2? Zach
15. Wops, forgot about this, I'll post proper pics tonight, but for now I'll put up pics from gigs. I've taken all the stickers off now, and it looks pretty much new. Forgot to mention in the first post, this has been through the wars a bit, seen quite a few gigs, and as such is somewhat beaten looking, and somewhere along the line it lost the knob (fnar) for the neck pickup, and I haven't been able to replace it yet. Very simple fix, I just haven't had the time or the right allen key to replace it. Would prefer a cheque or perhaps collection in person, cash in hand maybe, but I can post easily as I have the hardcase. I'm dropping the price to £220. You can just about make out one of the chips in the finish in that last pic, right on the bottom edge of the bass, near the control plate. Zach
16. Just wondering what valves would go in place of El34's, because I might be buying a valve head soon, and was wondering what valves I could use in place of the 6 El34's the power section needs, because I'm having trouble finding enough valves cheap enough. Zach
17. Ace, but it could be a week or two before I actually get enough cash. Don't hold it for me just yet, but if no-one else wants, I will pretty much be guaranteed to buy it off you. Zach
18.
I've noticed a proliferation in the numbers of 'Dads Bands' around at the minute. You can see them all over. They're young. Their dads ferry them to 'gigs' and set the gear up for them while they stand around looking vaguely interested. They spend the whole night playing power chords learnt from Tab off the internet while adoring jailbait looks on. The dads stand at the back nodding all the way through and then pack up the gear at the end. The upshot? It's all done for them! They haven't had to do it for themselves. As a kid I had to bus 6 miles to practices then carry my amp and bass about a mile (stopping for many rests) so that by the time I got there I could hardly play. When you learnt your favourite songs you had to LISTEN to the Record ...NO REALLY LISTEN and work out what was going on. You learnt the subtleties. You learnt your trade. You couldn't just google it. So I think your answer lies in the fact that the future generation of bands are missing out on the 'serving your time' part. Also the standard of affordable guitars and basses you learnt on back then, or should I say Planks (hondo etc.), was pretty poor in comparison to what young 'uns have today (not that Dad hasn't bought them a Les Paul anyway). Anyway....Rant over. Ps. Apologies to anyone who helps out with their son's band but you get my point.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but my band only ever gets a lift to the gig, because we have so much gear to shift. As soon as we get there, we get everything out, and the parents disappear off somewhere, we set up everything, etc. then we give them a call when we need to get everything home. Zach
