1. My brother told me about this earlier. Its a real shame, Deftones are a fantastic band, one of my favourites. I hope he wakes up soon. Zach
  2. Bought some chrome knobs off this bloke recently, great guy. He even sent them to me before the check cleared, waht a bloke eh? Zach
  3.
Nah, Blackpool not Manchester
Nah, Derby City Center, much better choice lol. Zach
  4.
Woops!!! (Nervous laughter. . . ) never had any problems, though!
Excellent. Haven't had a chance to try it yet seeing as i don't have the cab yet, but it should be here by tomorrow, ready for some extreme loud stuff lol. Zach
  5.
I used to have no problems lending my rig, but when you go through the settings, explaining the gain knob and then see the red overload light blinking more on than off through their set, that pisses me off. Then we had some advice from an industry insider type. He said "Imagine that some record company guy is there to see you (unknown to you) and you've lent your kit out, it gets broken, and you've got no gear to impress them through." That made me think twice. I have still lent it, but I've been more wary since. Now I've downsized to a small combo, I'll bring mine to every gig I play!
Yeah, then you went and sold it to me, who knows how long its going to last Zach
  6.
New strings are going to seem well weird when you eventually change them!
I know, I'm going to start playing and be like 'who the hell turned up the treble control?!' Zach
  7. Huh, I've had the same set of Swing Bass 66 on my Fender since i got it, and then the guy I bought it off had them on for the last year or 2, so mine are dead as anything, and I still like the sound. Guess I just got lucky then. Zach

Adrian was great with the delivery of my Warwick Profet 3.2, practically bomb proof, definitely didn't get damaged in transit, because that would require a projectile weapon. Zach
  9. Thanks Adrian, about to stick my feedback up now Zach
  10.
Oops! just assumed it was a copy because it looks so tacky! It would look better if the front was continuous Zebrano. That just looks wrong to me. And tacky.
+1, it would look much better if it was continuous zebrano, rather then 2 pieces glued to a different wood in the middle. Zach
  11.
haha, thanks, they've got something in one of those cabinets i want. hope its still there. which sony centre was it? x
Its in Derby Westfield center, on the upstairs floor. Zach
  12. Aha, not quite BBC, but i did have queen on in my other ear. Don't ask why its on my mp3 player, but every time shes here she likes 2 listen 2 it lol. Zach
  13.
romantic setting too.... outside the sony centre, you often see young couples outside the one in nottingham
Aha, she was about to go up to her parents car, and they don't have a particular liking for me, so thats as far as I'm allowed lol.
oooh, can i ask how long ago, and which sony centre is that? thats an adorable photo. x
It was a while ago, mabye 7 or 8 months ago. We've been together for about 16 months now lol Zach
  14. Me and my gf  , not to long ago. Its one of her favorites of me and her, and i like it too lol. Zach
  15. Yeah, i mean, if it sounds absolutely fantastic, then it might be worth the price tag, but on looks alone, its boring and plain. Crazy Kiwis wood would be a much better choice then what they used. Zach
  16.
I use Schaller strap locks on mine and I'm 6'2" and like to have the bass fairly low slung so my strap is as long as it can possibly go and it's a total pig to reset. So unless they've got the same system on their strap or have arms like a gibbon it's of no use to 'em.
Same with me, nice big strap, hangs round my waist or thereabouts, rhythm put it on for laughs, practically on the floor with him. On the subject of sharing, I'm pretty happy to let anyone use my current amp. Why? because i got it free from my dads mate. They can do what they like with the settings, it sounds the same no matter what lol. And my bass, well, not as much, but there's enough battle scars on there for me not to care any more though. But i make anyone who uses it promise a new set of strings if they break one. So far they all figured its not worth thrashing it about, because i like expensive strings i do . Zach
  17.
OMG That is a absolutely brilliant! So many quotable bits ...
I read it yesterday, and sent it to everyone online on my msn, and they laughed their asses off lol. Zach
  18.
Another pointless question! 1), How can I tell if a bass is Jazz or Precision by looking at it...if its description doesn't say? http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?Produc...CollectionID=12 as in is that a JB or PB n how do i know? (I'm pretty stupid..you'll get used to it:)
1) How can I tell that I should put clothes on when taking photos? Sorry, but naked men with basses isn't a turn on for me. Naked girls with basses on the over hand... Zach
  19. How much you want for it? You haven't mentioned a price lol. Zach
  20.
If you're part of an organisation which exists to sell bass guitars, then someone who owns one and only one bass guitar is a pretty limited target for your carefully-honed sales pitch. Whereas someone who owns 57 bass guitars is NOT someone you want to piss off with an ill-considered "humorous" comment. Ultimately, it comes down to the same thing. The Bass Cellar is to bass guitarists what Fred West was to student lodgers.
Exactly. Really, if someone can afford 57 basses, do you really think its sensible to call them sad, seriously. If i had been the guy you were talking to, i would have slapped the guy who gave you that comment, then given you his wallet. But thats just me Zach
  21. Bumpage, Come on guys, i need money, after all i am a teenager Zach
  22. Don't suppose I could interest you in a part exchange for the cab, with my Peavey combo and say £100? Zach
  23. +1 to Wayne, this is a great chance to get out there man. Any job where you play bass and get payed for it is brilliant. Personally, I would jump on this if i could. Zach
  24. If only I had enough money that didn't need to get me a cab as well, because I literally earlier this week bought a Warwick head off here. Its a shame, because i would have bought this in a second. Looks like im going to have to wait to get a job before i can start buying everything lol. Zach
  25. Damn you, why couldn't this have been up a week ago, i would have had it straight away lol. Good luck with the sale. Zach
