1. I'll trade my soul for this mate. Good condition, little use, 1 owner from new, any takers? Zach
2. Extremely interested in that head you have there mate. How many outputs does it have? And how much does it weigh? Zach
3.
.......and just look at those woods! Something like that from Warwick would cost me 7 arms, 5 legs, several eyes, 2 livers, 2 gall bladders and a pancreas!
And they would all have to be yours Zach
4. Killing in the Name Of by RATM, although technically it isn't the bass in the intro, the bit after the first chords is the first bit anyone recognizes, so it kinda makes sense Zach
5.
rage has some great lines, Take the power back is actually pretty simple once you get your head round it and is great to play. drop D, seen alot of people saying play it with a pick but most times i have seen it its slap and thats how it sounds best IMHO. found the muted notes in between the slap parts the tricky bit followed by the pull offs.
Slap IMHO as well, really, what muppet thinks that a pick sounds like slap, really. Timmy C is a great player, and I want his tone lol Zach
6. Air slap bass is best even though people look at you like your mad, its great fun, especially to level 42 or something lol. Zach
7.
Hehe well one day! Sounds like your method for the aforementioned sound is a winner, too. It's all about the dynamics if you ask me! Let me know when you make it big and I can think of a way to invoice you for something! Cheers ped
One day Ped, one day. My band is actually closely related to The Raw, one of the bigger bands in Derby, which you might have heard of, and because our drummers sister is with their guitarist, who happens to know someone who has something to do with Mcfly or something lol, we have been pushing to get important types to our gigs, few and far between though they are, and we have a promise from The Raw that we will be supporting them if they do get signed. Dynamics are the way forward, and personally i find many players sometimes lacking in that respect, they attempt to achieve the aggressive type of tone that many of us hope for with their EQ, yet they rarely get it right because they have no real sense of dynamics, so it just doesn't have the right feel, yet whenever I have a twang on their rig, when i play aggressive, they act abit "here, what are you doing, you'll break a bloody string doing that!" Zach
8. Ped, the only way anyone is going to be getting royaltys from me is if they give me the money to buy the stuff i need to use your patch lol, because right now I am so skint, i can't even get my gf's best mate, and a very close friend of mine, a birthday present, which is making me feel really bad lol. Zach
9. What i usually do, is with my Hyperdrive pedal, very low drive setting with the output boosted, but when i want to dirty it up, get a more aggressive tone at the same volume, turn up my bass to ull, output on the pedal down, and then it starts to get a little distorted when i dig in with a, dare i say it, metal pick (hides from the thrown bottles) lol Zach
10.
I've been online and some of the bands I've heard are absolute pap, bad timing, can't sing etc. Our lass thinks this doesn't matter; I wholeheartedly disagree.
Evidently, you aren't aware of how Irish people do things (I'm half irish, so I have every right to say that lol) Zach
11.
.....i hate money....
Just send it my way, I'll take it off your hands for no charge mate Zach
12. Bullet In The Head by Rage Against The Machine and Killing In The Name by Rage again lol. I'm working on take the power back, but its giving me trouble lol. Zach
13. I say upgrade your rig before anything else, because after all, a great amp can make a cr@p bass sound good, but a cr@p amp makes a good bass sound terrible. Zach
14. Foulds are a good shop if you want something that other places don't have. They will order pretty much anything for you. Although, I have found some of their prices to be quite steep in the past. If you are looking for another shop for guitars n such, Rattle and Drum music have just opened where sound control was, and they have a fair bit of bass stuff as well, and are willing to usually do deals on items, although I'm not sure on how they stand with ordering stuff in. Zach
15. Wizbat, I'll trade my soul for your rig Really though, I aspire to own something of a similar size if I ever have enough spare money, and room, and a band with guitarists that have similarly mahoosive rigs Zach
16. Oh yeah, I'm not to good with the whole speaker ratings, ohms etc. kinda thing. Just confuses me. What I meant by overkill is that its just to much power really. Even the head that its listed to be paired with is 1200 watts. I do like the speaker grill mesh design though. I think i'm going to make a large cab in year 11, and if I do, its going to have that sort of thing over the sides. Zach
17.
I think it depends on the bass maybe. For this bass with dark wood i def think black is the way to go. Interested to see what others think.
+10000 Really light woods, brass or gold or something like that. i want to get some new hardware for my fender, but I can't decide what colour for the parts. I'm thinking about a new bridge, tuners, nut, knobs and a pickguard. Any help? Zach
18. Just saw this on Music 123. Anybody got any idea about what it sounds like? 2000 watts sounds a bit overkill to me. Zach
19.
Can't call it that.....sounds like a painful medical term...
Now that you mention it, it does sound like something that would involve a large sharp object being waved dangerously close to important parts of the male anatomy Zach
20.
Its a Jazz with respect to body shape, neck dimensions and overall look. If I had called it a precision someone would have pulled me up on the fact its got a "Jazz" body.... In fact its neither as the parts are not from Fender, so its a "Jazz" style I suppose...with a better pup than anything Fender have produced..... if Carlsberg made pickups..........
I think you'll find its a 'Jazzcision' mate Zach
21. My Peavey 50 watter, and it has been said that Peavey Watts are louder lol Zach
22.
wtf! seriously whats yours and the other guys problems with me lately, i dont even know who the hell you are?? and is there any reason why i keep gettin reffered to as being young?? okay theres some experienced people in here, but id hardly say 20 was young compared to others on this site. get a f***ing grip and grow up
Seriously guys, if Basssmankev's young enough to know everything, then I know the meaning of life, the secrets of time travel, and the location of the fountain of youth, what with me being 14. That's just stupid guys, I mean, what did he do to deserve it. Zach
23. Lol, I have space, but not that kind of space Although I idolize your massive Ampeg rig Wizbat, how much did it all cost, if you don't mind me asking? Zach
24. Hey, where are you located? And do you do band photos as well? Zach
25. Yeah, they are exhibiting this year. If they have one there, Ill have a go and see if its what Im looking for. Zach
