"If it was up to us, we would all wear a plain t-shirt and straight jeans" wear that. buy some nice hats. new era hats are going down well. a lot of the metal hardcore/ metal bands round our way seem to be doing the "scenecore" thing. hi top bright coloured nikes, new era hats, sports jackets, skinny jeans and metal band t shirts... stretch your ear lobes too. naa. t shirt and jeans. Another thing to do with image that seems to be coming up a lot is how you act... 2 of the vocalists in my band have a fake fight in the middle of one of our songs, our trombone players usually on top of my amp if he can get to it, the horns are all doing a little synchronised to/from the mic kinda thing, hitting the cymbals with their saxs, grabbing extra sticks and joining in on the drums... just make a game of it. then again. probably wont suit your band...

HI. I've just uploaded our EP to our myspace page, it's been ages in the making, we finished tracking months ago but have only finished mixing and mastering this week... just waiting for artwork and such, but in the meantime i thought i'd put the songs up on the myspace and see what people think. "stadium rock" i believe the bassist called it. that kit was seriously nice though. built it himself. I nearly always share cabs, 3 different backlines for the gigs we do is ridiculous. promoters hiring backline is ridiculous, most of them dont even know what backline is. we sort it out between the bands, one band brings drums, one brings bass cabs, one brings guitar cab. obviously theres exceptions depending on the line ups and distance and stuff. I used to lend out my full rig, but since mr drugdealer bassist from a certain a band definitely not called HOSPITAL BOMBERS decided to turn everything up full for the whole set, ive decided im only lending cabs. I'll only let somebody borrow my bass after we'd done a fair few gigs with them and i know they'd pay for any damage. We nearly had a huge fight last time somebody borrowed my bass without asking.He definitely shouldnt have winked at me.

i played WaynePunkDudes old trace head (think it was GP7SM?) through my ashdown mag cabs and it sounded brilliant. probably (definately) not the best cabs ever built but they'll more than do the job.

thursday 3 of the band booked tickets to go to thorpe park instead.. so i had to make up an excuse for the promoter. friday nobody bothered to ask our drummer if he could do it so a few days before we realised that we didnt have a drummer.. saturday our guitarist split his head open at work. text me from the ambulance saying he might not be able to do it. stupid. stupid stupid stupid. really annoying. now we dont have a gig for another week. I get all funny if we dont play for more than a few days. i dont like it.

This weeks been a bit odd for us. Had 4 gigs lined up, played wednesday, sold out, made enough money to press the EP. all good. Thursday had to cancel, Friday had to cancel, Saturday had to cancel. off to Leamington spa next saturday. bit of a trek but should be good.

Just realised that if i edit the gig list, it doesn't bump it back up... BUMP whooops...

ohhh right, naa we're supporting on that one. Ollie should have sorted out a date last night though. we should tour, im just trying to convince everyone else. i might just book it and then they wont have a choice.

We spent last summer turning up at college whenever we could trying to record some demos while nobody was around. we did all of it from start to finish, they're not the best. They were mixed and mastered very quickly. Would appreciate any feedback though. www.myspace.com/talanuk niiice one. Ben

it lights up when it's on and it works as a bypass, but there is no effect, it doesnt switch between the two it just bypasses the effect and the light stays on. it was bought off ebay a few months ago by my girlfriend, she had no way of testing it so we didnt find out it was faulty til the other day. is there a time limit on ebay returns? im assuming because it was sold as "perfect condition" and its turned up faulty, i should be entitled to a refund.
