  1. Theme from an imaginary western - Jack Bruce (amongst others)
  2. Heartbeat City - The Cars
  3. Live albums are usually excluded along with "best ofs", though Rust Never Sleeps is live.
  4. I like NY's earlier (60s/70s) output and Rust Never Sleeps takes me back... Slightly surprised that Harvest is so low.
  5. Ah 2002, last time I saw them - that was the Leadmill, Sheffield. Great show!
  6. Quite a lot of this... and a fair amount of this...
  7. Arrived today - Royal Mail👍
  8. I've ordered a CD from an Amazon seller ie not direct. 1st attempt appears to be "running late and may have been lost", 2nd attempt posted 4 days ago with no tracking info and no ETA. Aside from that, I'm trying to wean myself away from Amazon and focus on independent purveyors of books and music. Personal service is still out there even for "online" purchases.
  9. Yep, I saw it on the C&C website and checked with a photo I had. Beautifully built bass.
  10. Very nice! There have been some mentions of the Jazz 6, but not the baritone I think. It cuts quite the dash next to my old Gretsch😉
  11. 3 mins maximum? I didn't know the Ramones did extended improvisations😁!
  12. Limehouse Lizzy were the last live band I saw back in January - they are excellent.
  13. Blackstar are doing a "this weekend only" offer on the Unity 120 combo. Note that Andertons are out of stock and Coda don't seem to have the memo. No affiliation.https://www.blackstaramps.com/uk/unity-offer?fbclid=PAAaYIJMW1DcY5MrC3Wk-gvvvqDEfecwFAI0LyUAiSxpIG8Ure0GYKEIEvyoM
  14. My Dad was a bit of a music lover, with early Beatles and, later on Manfred Mann singles being brought home (he's 96 now, so some might have thought he was a bit old for "that sort of thing" at the time!). My maternal grandparents bought me a classical guitar when I was about 13 which, I'll admit, I didn't make the best use of. My fault, though my teacher was not ideal. My uncle played keyboards in a sort of showband which played around South Dorset in the mid to late 70s and later actually ran a music shop until the web kicked in. A number of things which, cumulatively created an environment with hindsight.
  15. Nice score Al!👍
  16. Lovely. Is that the one at Classic and Cool?
  17. Mike Lull PT4?
  18. Ah, that's what they mean by an "offset body".
  19. I'd like 2 sets please😊
  20. I've also been listening a lot to Joan as Policewoman. She's released some really interesting material, great singer and multi instrumentalist
  21. Thread from the dead time...I've just heard Judee Sill for the first time and blimey, what a great artist - here on OGWT in 1973.
  22. Nice! Looking at the spalted maple version (there are more photos), I think there is one saddle per string...is that right?
