  1. I doubt it would have been added to correct warping as it is so close to existing screws.
  2. Its easy to add rolled fingerboard edges to a cheap instrument and make it play feel a bit more upmarket. I've done it to various basses and guitars—most recently to a bullet mustang guitar which totally transformed how it felt. Also swapping a BBoT for a Fender HiMass is £30 and is also an easy job.
  3. I've just put a new set of medium scale 45-100 D'Addario Chromes on my JMJ mustang, and they do feel and sound remarkably similar to the Fenders but with a bit of new string zing. The fit better though and the blue silks coordinate nicely with the colour of the bass. I believe these are the strings Mr Meldal-Johnsen uses on his own mustangs.
  4. I often wonder just how Sainsburys manage to get the wooden ball inside an avocado
  5. You know what man, I'm really not concerned with that.
  6. Surely this is not changing the length of the string but changing the mass. I wonder whether it would have the same effect when the additional mass is added to the string behind the bridge saddle?

  8. It can definitely be done. I'm sure John will be able to advise you about this: [email protected]
