  5. Surely for maximum clickbait the tagline should have included something like "The secret professional bass teachers don't want you to know"
  6. Six Things to a Cycle - The Residents
  7. I currently own four Fender Mustangs (six if you include guitars as well as basses) so I'm a big mustang fan, but I don't have a PJ one, only a pair of JMJs, a 90s CIJ & a vintera. Call me shallow, but I can't get past the sausage/dingaling shaped control plate of the harley benton. If it is possible to finagle a Fender style control plate onto one of these - possibly with a custom pickguard I might be interested.

  16. I've had a three basses sold on commission at the Gallery and got what I expected for each of them. I didn't have any issues - it was a positive experience. The most expensive one went for £800, so the commission was not excessive and in my opinion 15% is a fair amount.
  17. I think most of us probably know the answer to both of those questions already.

  24. I was lucky enough to get a Fender urban shortscale bass gigbag before they were discontinued. It doesn't give a massive degree of protection, but is perfect for taking a JMJ mustang bass on the back seat of the car. In a previous band I used to take my Squier SS Jaguar bass to the rehearsal studio on the bus every week in it. I wouldn't use it for gigs where gear is chucked into the back of the van though - I have a couple of Fender mustang hard cases for that. Not cheap but I managed to get a good deal on each of them.
  25. The Bristol Stomp - Dovells
