These each come with a second pickguard/scratchplate. The Orange one comes with a brilliant white scratchplate and an alternative black scratchplate. The Black one comes with a creamy ivory scratchplate and an alternative tortoiseshell scratchplate. Swapping the scratchplate for one in a different colour doesn't solve the problem that the scratchplate shape is a hideous abomination. Surely including a second one with a less fugly shape would be a better idea?

No one said anything to suggest that owners of these amps would be racist, so I don't know where that came from. Also surely buying PRC-made Ashdown products is also supporting this great British company.

There's no benefit in having the the anniversary edition over a new EVO IV. It is probably aimed at collectors and isn't likely to be taken out for a gig down the dog & duck. Maybe there are collectors who like to amass these things, but its not the kind of thing I'd be interested in. On the other hand maybe the 'Made in England' aspect would appeal to the kind of people who fly a St George's flag outside their house even when there isn't a football tournament on.
