I have TI flats on my acoustic bass - they work very well -
The TC electronic spectracomp is as simple as it gets with the default settings and a single knob, but can be changed via toneprints or full editing via USB to alter the characteristics

I've not voted as this depends on the colour of the bass. Some of my favourites are: Sunburst + proper 4 ply tort pg Aged white / cream + aged pearl pg Daphne blue + aged pearl pg black + mirror pg candy apple red + 3 ply black pg natural ash + 3 ply black pg

I'm a big fan of the Geezer 'P' pickup - it totally transformed my '81 Precison which had a rather lacklustre original pickup

I've not played every model of Epiphone t-bird but my vintage pros have a very comfy slim neck - much like a good jazz bass.

I've just watched the pedal show video - I'm now fully enlightened and not at all confused. Funny how the only mention of bass was that "Don't Worry" by Marty Robbins was the first record to feature distortion in 1961 which featured a bass going through a knackered mixer channel. -

Pitch correction has its place. I have been known to use it on my recordings, but the key is to make it subtle. It makes me sound like I can almost carry a tune in a bucket. I'm really not a fan of the sound where it is very obvious, as heard on the rap/grime/whatever tracks my 18 year old son listens to at high volume in his car, but I'm not the target market for that stuff and he seems to enjoy it. -
As low as possible I use the extra long version of the comfort strapp adjusted to the maximum length available for my thunderbirds - I think its actually 's against the law to play a thunderbird at nipple height like the Sade bloke's stingray. for my mustangs I use a levys suede stap adjusted as long as possible.

I've never used the kind that sits by the nut, and probably never will as I don't go in for slap tap or similar party tricks. I've never got on with foam at the bridge end as it either deadens too much or not enough for me. I tend to use palm muting where I can control the pressure on the string with more precision.

A lot of people on here do their own setups, repairs and modifications, so wouldn't hesitate to get the toolkit out and add a strap button from their 'bits box'. However if you aren't comfortable doing that yet, or even if you are but want to be a stickler for what is right, this is Anderton's problem. Speak to them and I'm sure they'll sort you out.
