  1. I used to have exactly the same amp and cab plus a matching 2x10 cab. The whole lot cost me £600 at the time. Someone got a bargain for £75.
  2. I know matching aged Pelham Blue - or any metallic colour is likely to be impossible for a touch-up job, but I've seen luthiers deal with this on other gibsons with a headstock repair by painting the back of the headstock black and fading it out just beyond the repair. That would look a lot better than dumping a load of what I'd assume to be blue nail polish on it.
  3. yep - It wouldn't have those if he has sanded them off.

  5. There is a slight blemish on the back of the neck, but apart from this, it is in great condition! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285574555048 So we're referring to a headstock breaking off and being glued back together with splints and then poorly painted over as a slight blemish now? You don't seem many of these 70s bicentennial ones in Pelham blue. If it wasn't for the headstock repair & mismatched paint it would be right up my street.
  6. A bunch of t-shirts and stuff from bassthing.uk. Although it’s my own website, the items are printed to order by the supplier, so I only have a few of the shirts currently.
  7. More of a preference than a predjudice, but I tend to go for modern reissues of basses that were available in the mid to late sixties. My main basses are my three JMJ mustangs, but I also have another pair of mustangs, two epi thunderbird vintage pros, a gibson non-reverse thunderbird, a Guild Starfire II, and a Danelectro Longhorn. The Hohner B2A tends to stay in its case.
  8. I used to have an epi pro v t-bird. The black box is the active preamp. What is the other end of the red wire connected to? Can you post any pics to show clearly what it looks like?
  9. If you want some roundwoundish zing but with the feel of flats, you can't beat Ernie Ball Cobalt flats. I use these on my thunderbirds, and have just put a short scale set on my squier jag shortie. All of my mustangs have d'addario chromes.
