  1. Worrying about what is and what isn't cool is defintely uncool
  2. Nice! I used to gig a Mag 300 head with 210 & 115 deep cabs, so this brings back fond memories. I went to lightweight gear for a while, but I'm using Ashdown again, but this time ABM600 EVO IV & 210 + 115 ABM cabs
  3. I have JMJ, vintera, CiJ & Classic Vibe mustangs and I have found that the pickguard is different for each model, so you might want to add which model this pickguard is for.
  4. Isn't the barb just a right angle bend thats been snipped right after the bend, something that would have been done when fitting the strings, and is recommended when fitting roundcores to prevent the core disappearing up inside the windings as unlike hex cores there are no corners for the windings to bite into.
  5. Until now, for everything I have sold on Reverb I have used Packlink to book the courier, however I have sold an amp which due to the size and weight would be better to send via parcelforce. For other sales, the payout has been triggered for the end of the day once the shipping label is bought on packlink. How does it work when packlink isn't used? Does entering the tracking number trigger the payout?
  6. I find that my body is most resonant after eating a bean burrito.
  7. I spoke to someone at the shop today and its going back. I had to book parcelforce myself, but I was told I'll get the cost of that back.
  8. If you have £3.5k going spare you can buy the very bass Mo Foster played on this track https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/kramer-bass
  9. I'm in Sutton, South London and the branch is in Barking, so it is possible to lug it up there to bang on the counter until I get refunded if necessary. The returns policy on the website is as it should be and I've followed that by emailing the branch, but if I don't hear back from them today I'll call them in the morning.
  10. I saw a secondhand Behringer Odyssey Synth on the Cash Converters website at a good price last week, so I got out the credit card and it was delivered on Saturday. I was initally chuffed with it as it is the later version with the the sliders that look like they came off an xmas tree, however within half an hour of receiving it I realised it has an issue that causes it to cut out the sound and not respond to keypresses along with some of the lights and the effects section going out. The only way to get it working again then is to turn it off & on. Another issue is that when it is otherwise working, turning down the brightness control for the slider LEDs to the minimum only turns off some of the LEDs, others are still dimly lit. I don't know if this is normal or not, if it is, it does seem a bit weird. One way that seems guaranteed to trigger the cutting out issue is to flip the octave switch up and play a key. I made a 40 second video to illustrate this. I emailed the branch of Cash Converters it came from on Saturday and again today about this but I haven't heard back yet. In the email I explained how it is faulty and I would like them to organise a courier to pick it up from me and issue a refund. How long should I give them to get back to me before doing a chargeback?
  11. No, this is very different to the hercules issue where the rubbery bit is a thick moulding. The rubbery bit on the Rumble knobs is an extremely thin layer over the hard plastic knobs - like it was painted or sprayed on. Soaking in surgical spirit and giving it a scrub took all of the rubbery layer off. My Fender Mustang GTX guitar amp doesn't have rubbery knobs, so I don't think there's anything lost in not having that layer on the rumble. I bought the amp secondhand, so I doubt fender would have offered any help in my case.
  12. Blummin' 'eck! That sounds like a bit of a palaver — I just have the SY-1 between my tuner & (always on) compresser on my board and kick it in for that song - it has level controls to mix the synth in with the bass.
  13. I owned a C9 for about a week but sold it on as it didn't trigger well for me. I've tried several pedals to get an organ sound from my bass, however the only one that has worked well enough to earn a place on my pedalboard is the Boss SY-1. Here's a video where I'm doubling the bass line from my black JMJ Mustang bass with organ from the SY-1. The SY-1 has a little switch on the back to switch it between guitar or bass.
  14. The tuner placement is a dead givaway. Jens Ritter is MDP's alter ego.
  15. I did consider acetone but didn't want to risk it eating anything more than the rubbery coating. The other thing I had lined up to try if the surgical spirit didn't work was lighter fluid.
