  1. Anyone at Glastonbury who wants to learn how to play the didjeridu or just have a go, head on over to Toad Hall, Green Fields on: Thursday @ 11am, Friday @ 11am, or Saturday @ 11.15am, Where my mate, Sandy will be doing a Didjeridu workshop and performance. Sanitised didjes are provided, and all ages, abilities and aspirations are welcome. Well recommended - Tell him I sent you!
  2. Almost Cut My Hair - Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young
  3. Quail and Dumplings - Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy
  4. To clarify, @Paolo85 this thread is about getting payment for in-person transactions, not selling gear that will need to be posted.
  5. This is interesting as I already have a monzo account which I use mostly to transfer money to my kids (and sometimes get it paid back as promised). I will look into the link thing you have described - it sounds like it might be a preferable solution for getting paid.
  6. I listed some gear on Gumtree and sold my trusty Markbass LM2 today to a chap who drove quite a way to get it, however as he had turned up without any cash, he paid me by bank transfer using mobile banking. I can see the money in my account and my balance has updated, so it looks like it is safe, but is it? and is it safe to allow this payment method in future? Can a payment made using online banking with 'faster payments' still 'bounce' at a later date or can it be considered safe?
  7. Big Time Operator - Zoot Money's Big Roll Band
  8. Really enjoyed last night's gig. I took my Black JMJ mustang with the orange classic vibe mustang as backup. The orange one has a vintera pickup and upgraded loom. I have also lined the cavities with slug tape and perfected setup. I have been enjoying playing this bass at home all week, so I was wondering how much difference there would be between the two at volume - so I played the first set with the squier and then swapped to the JMJ. Although the squier sounded good, the JMJ sat in the mix so much better. I don't know what's so special about the seymour duncan pickup in the JMJ, but if its ever made available as a spare part I'd like to get my hands on a few for my non-JMJ mustangs. It was also the first outing of my Monte Allum modded Boss ODB-3 overdrive. Having owned a stock one previously I really noticed the improvement in having the modded version - it makes it a lot more flexible and easier to get a decent tone - less fizz more grind.
  9. If I had that I'd burn it and deny all knowledge of its existence.
  10. There will be a small current draw whenever the bass is plugged into the input, but even a cheap poundland alkaline 9v battery should last several rehearsals/gigs.
  11. Sounds like a good excuse to buy a new bass. I'd second the suggestion to try lighter strings
