  1. A friend had a Roland Alpha Juno 2 where his favourite sound was one he'd called 'Liquid 5hit' The Animoog iPad app has an expansion pack called the BASE Pack which is all farts & burps
  2. After being booked by the Prince of Wales for coronation day, we've been asked back for the 17th.
  3. In a previous four-piece band, we once started a regular gig we played monthly as a three piece - drummer, bass (me), & lead guitar/vocalist. After a thundering opening song, the frontman said something along the lines of "You may have noticed there are only three of us onstage tonight rather than the usual four... The next song is dedicated to our late guitarist.." & namechecked the missing band member. Then we played the second song and after that the frontman said that he'd like to clarify that the aforementioned guitarist wasn't dead he - just hadn't turned up yet. The missing guitarist evenually arrived in time to join us for the second set after encountering nightmare traffic somewhere or other.
  4. I played a gig where the guitarist hit himself in the face taking his guitar off while changing from electric to acoustic, and was bleeding down his shirt for the rest of the set.
  5. Your Cash Ain’t Nothing But Trash - The Clovers
  6. Yep- Nothing wrong with a BBoT, but a Fender HiMass with chromed brass saddles is only about £30 and takes about twenty minutes to fit if you want something chunkier.
  7. I'm old as well, but I believe he plays in a band called 'My Chemical Toilet' - or something like that.
  8. Dear Chinese sweatshop, please make me a four string bass that kinda looks like this Ritter when you squint at it. Don't worry about quality; it needs to be as cheap as possible.
  9. I built a WordPress plugin based on that comic: https://wordpress.org/plugins/correct-horse-battery-staple/ Also I use 'correct-horse-battery-staple' as my password everywhere including basschat as it is the most secure password you can have. 😁
  10. I have a few - love 'em! My usual gigging cable is a Daphne Blue curly one which looks great with my Daphne Blue JMJ mustang, & I also have a matching fender straight cable to go from the pedalboard to the amp. My 'at home' cable is a Fender Black tweed curly. I had a lovely 'glow in the dark' curly cable in the 80s that went missing when my band played the Rock Garden in Covent Garden (I think it might have been where the Apple store is now, but I'm not 100% certain). I think some scrote from one of the other bands nicked it while I was packing up my gear.
