  1. The size was 108cm x 53cm x 12cm and I paid the price packlink quoted plus about twenty quid for insurance against evri being careless tw@ts. I've just looked up evri's maximum size contraints and found this: according to my calculation this is: 2 x (53 + 12) + 108 = 238 So the size shouldn't be a problem even without having to argue that the box tapers so the volume would actually be less than if the sides were parallel. The tracking on Packlink is now showing three new updates timestamped this morning each saying "It is in the carrier’s network, on its way from its origin to its destination." No indication of where in the world it is though, and I've not had the promised update. Oh well tomorrow's another day.
  2. I sold a guitar on Reverb. Booked the evri via Packlink on Wednesday on a 24 hour service as I didn't want it sitting in a depot over the weekend. It was picked up Thursday so should have been delivered on Friday, but wasn't. I have been trying to find out what's happening and this is the tracking info on evri's site: I'm not sure why they are saying it is bigger than expected — I entered the correct weight and dimensions when booking the delivery. Trying to find more info I discovered different tracking information on the Packlink site: Evri's automated phone system seems to be designed to infuriate and after going through various options which offer no new information, it hangs up with no chance to speak to a sentient being. I'm now waiting for someone at evri, and someone at packlink to get back to me with an update.

  13. I have the boss waza bass cans. Its a joy to use — not being restricted by cables. Sound quality is great and it enabled me to relearn a loooonnng setlist after the extended lockdown/social distancing break. It isn't cheap but I consider it a worthwhile investment. My way of using it is to take live/rehearsal recordings of the band and remove my bass using RipX. I put these bassless tracks into a playlist on my iPhone and play along using the Waza Air.
  14. Yes — I think I will be able to make it
  15. I'll try to make it. If so It'll be my first bass bash. I'll probably bring: NS Design CR5M, Squier Bass VI, Roland MicroCube Bass RX and some pedals

  20. I wonder what it would sound like to use the case as a plecky. It must be plecky-shaped for a reason.
  21. I 've tried various sets and use D'addario ECB81M Chromes on my three JMJs (and my other mustangs). I used to use TI JF324 on my CIJ mustang and can confirm that they will fit the JMJ without any issues and they will be lower tension than the Fenders or Chromes..
