  1. Sold for £101. Good grief! someone must really like wombles.
  2. If you want to make the bass sound more like a stingray, you might be better off keeping the original pickup in the bass and adding an active preamp such as the retrovibe stinger.
  3. Best bass purchase would be the Pelham blue Gibson non-reverse thunderbird, and the worst purchase would probably be the blue JMJ I use for rehearsals and gigs — its a fantastic bass and is only my worst purchase as already owned two JMJs when I bought it so I really didn't need it, but for some unfathomable reason I really wanted it at the time.
  4. To save money when air drumming, instead of using special sticks and other hardware, I vocalise the drum sounds myself. And when I do it like this it is velocity sensitive.

  16. it makes sense that a Womble would own this bass — they were always keen on rubbish. Did you know that Hattie Jaques and John Le Mesurier's son Robin Le Mesurier was kicked out of the wombles for 'smoking da spliff'?
  17. Earlpilanz on ebay will sort you out with one in any colour you like for not much dosh. GAS reinstated again , you're welcome!
  18. Just A Lidl Bit — Lidl Milton
  19. I used to have exactly the same amp and cab plus a matching 2x10 cab. The whole lot cost me £600 at the time. Someone got a bargain for £75.
  20. Fool's Paradise — Mose Allison
  21. The Nearness Of You — Norah Jones
  22. I know matching aged Pelham Blue - or any metallic colour is likely to be impossible for a touch-up job, but I've seen luthiers deal with this on other gibsons with a headstock repair by painting the back of the headstock black and fading it out just beyond the repair. That would look a lot better than dumping a load of what I'd assume to be blue nail polish on it.
  23. yep - It wouldn't have those if he has sanded them off.
  24. Baby's On Fire — Brian Eno
  25. I Can't Believe That Urine Love With Me — Dinah Washington
