  1. Perhaps Ian Brown was supposed to have a band with him, but they're currently incapacitated with Covid as being unvaccinated was a requirement of being in the band
  2. The fake decals make it look cheap when the imprint of the real decal is still showing, and this should probably reduce the value. It is ridiculous to put 'Made in USA' on an indonesia built bass as that makes it look like the decals were applied to deceive a purchaser rather than to make it look more 'proper' at a gig.
  3. Maybe they cost too much to make and they didn't sell enough?
  4. I have one of these, it was my main bass for my previous band (with EMGs and a hi-Mass bridge) and I played it a lot. I really like the neck finish. It never got grubby though as I always wash my hands before playing.
  5. Bottom right: D1 & D2 appear to be a classic arrangement of clipping diodes - It'll probably be these providing any dirt rather than the valve.
  6. Sitting on the Sand - The Residents & Renaldo & the Loaf
  7. I have had sets of extra slinky (45-95) cobalt flats on two vintage pro thunderbirds for at least a couple of years and they're still in perfect condition on both basses. I use fast fret or Dunlop ultraglide 65 string conditioner regularly, so if the issue isn't isolated to specific batches, that *might* be the answer to prevent corrosion appearing.
