I had one of the garish bridge versions in for a repair not so long back, can`t remember the model name but its sound was very meh! Did nothing for me, hopefully yours will be to your taste.

I had the Harley Benton single cut FF for a while, it does make a difference to the B string and it is remarkable easy to get used to, unfortunately a single cut didn`t cut it with the image of the rock band so it got replaced by a Tbird.

I put this together a few years ago on the cheap, there was a thread on here about the build, it's changed a bit since then but it still works out a cheap bass. Body was off ebay I got for £30, flamed maple jazz neck was £75 off ebay, tuners were £20 off here, Wizard 84's £50 off here, East J-retro £110, Hipshot bridge was £27 off ebay. It's my longest serving bass and plays and sounds superb, I've got 2 keepers, this and my Alpher.

Bought a neck from Tom, arrived in good time and well packed, cheers Jeff

I got an Alpher for my 50th, Chris even did the serial number as my date of birth, pretty cool, got another coming very shortly as well.

Enjoyed that for once, Dingwall for me there and the colour! 😛

Taking bass tart to a new level....matching strap!!

A mate of mine has a very rare Overwater, it`s the explorer that broke the camels back so to speak. I`m quite sure it will be coming up for sale shortly as well. Sorry as it`s not mine there are no pics.

I`ve got a grippy strap but i`m used to Explorers and T birds so it`s not actually too bad.

It`s getting its, how shall I put it......horn restored and a special paint job .......... watch this space. I got it off a guy on here and I`m not kidding its one of the best sounding basses I`ve played!

My finished Pitbull RD kit build, it`s a bit yellow 😀

Go on then 😉 just got it back again for the last time after a fret dress and setup, finally got the pickups wired and screwed in properly ( i missed a connecting wire DOH!) and here it is, the finished customized Pitbull RD kit.... the finish on the headstock is all that lets it down but I can live with that ...for now 😉

Needs a set up and a few minor jobs doing but we're nearly there.

I am looking for different tuners as these were only cheap to get me away, I`ve got loads of the smaller type but the holes in the headstock are too big for them, does anyone make an adapter sleeve to convert them?

Got the body and neck back this morning, quick mock up looks good to me, still waiting for copper shielding tape so can't finish it just yet.

Guess the paintwork is done, picking it up on Monday, couple of imperfections but hopefully they wont be noticeable built up.
