4. Bought this off fellow Basschatter bass24 a fortnight ago, gigged it for the first time on Wednesday and I`ve got to say its the best £195 ive spent on a bass, to me it ticks every box, its bloody good looking, has a wide tonal pallet and is a joy to play, love it to bits!
5. Im not a book person but its just landed at the back of my door, im hoping for a chuckle.
6. I`ll take the black strap, pm me your paypal details and i`ll get the money sent over. Cheers Jeff.
7. 2 x 5 string, 1 x 6 string, 6 x 4 string, all basses, I only use the 6 string to stretch my fingers over a wide fretboard.
8.
Then I guess it's s personal thing. I don't know any older people that can't listen to him or young people that can. Blue
What age do you class as older? im 51 and can`t listen to more than 30 seconds without switching off, sorry but he has never done anything for me.
9.
I have exactly this one - the est96a in natural and it's awesome
mines the re-issue, black with maple neck, tones on offer are unbelieveable for the price.
10. Vintage V96 with a 3 band eq...its a beasty! You can have mine for £130 so I can buy the V1004dx for sale on here
11.
Thats hilarious 5th Sept. Its a bass i will never sell 8th Sept. Bass for sale £650
Give him his due there is a year in between.
12. That sounds like something I do on a regular basis!
13. We average about £250 around the Durham/Teeside area.
14. Cracker, I could see myself playing something like that alongside my ZZB and T/bird....damn you gas!
15. My Alpher is seriously light for a 5 string
16. Ive just cancelled my above order for the blue M3, was supposed to be in stock for Sept 8th (day before my birthday and the reason why I bought it) just chased Andertons up and theyve told me that in stock is now expected to be October 20th! anyone know how long a payment takes to go back on a credit card? Im not chuffed about this as I would never have known if I hadnt asked.
17. This might work now
18. Is the neck a standard F size? If so I may just take it off your hands.
19.
That neck is INSANE!!! I can't tell if I love it or hate it to be honest, but it is different!! How is the zebrano tonally? Great build though, I really dig it!!
Well to me it sounds like a Precision with a maple neck, seems brighter than rosewood but who am I to tell Its now finished with the reversed Entwistle PBXN pup and new plate (cheers Howard) sounds and plays great, i think it looks non too shabby either.
20. Who is Davie504? I like the blue burst though.
21. I use my T`bird as my main bass and just pick up one of the others as backup, all except my recently built P are active so they pretty much all sound similar or can quite easily get a similar tone.
22.
Good hack on the machine heads. They do look like large baseplates. Is the headstock smaller than usual somehow?
Yeah I think it is on the small side but ive seen examples before of Wilkinson machines over hanging on Squiers as well. The PBXN pickup arrived today and now I`m currently in the process of getting the P pup reversed and obviously a new bwb plate made.
I'd go with either a natural, orange or black finish on the body personally...
A refin would probably double what its cost although a mega bright orange finish would be nice, it does look remarkably nice in the flesh as it is though, the grain in the neck really pops!
