why dont they just make an affordable RD ?

I chose Alpher for my 50th birthday bass because of their growing reputation and that no one has had a bad word to say about them, theyre reasonably local to me and I liked the fact that everything was my choice from woods to number of strings to electrics, Chris helped steer me in any way he could and the personal service is second to none. The fact that mine is the first ever Cobia 5 string is also quite cool, I certainly didnt want just another P or J clone! What I got, as far as Im concerned is a playable work of art. Oh yeah and Chris and Al are really top blokes as well!

wasnt someone looking to get a WAL neck built? Quick search......................deksawyer was after one.

ive not seen an active lindo with the controls in identical position to a jackson, whip a pup out and see if its got any id on it.

you sure its a Lindo and not a Jackson? Never seen a Lindo like that and its got the sharks tooth position inlays and a bound neck, i might be totally wrong but it looks like a JS series Jackson.

I`ll never sell my new Alpher Cobia, it was a present to myself 2 weeks ago for managing to stay alive for half a century and its as close to perfection for me as i`ll ever play.

I think I went a bit ott with my significant birthday bass with my new Alpher but I wouldnt swap it for anything!

I picked one up today, first impressions are good, its got a wide range of tones and a pretty decent neck. Im happy so far.

Im thinking of trading a 4 string Jackson Kelly Bird for one of the above as the band currently requires a low B string and theres no way im taking my Alpher to some of the venues ive played so whats peoples opinion on the Yamaha?

This has a coil tap, parallel and series switch, coupled with the Nordy preamp it can do any tone you like, ive never had anything like it before.

The wait is over, big 50 yesterday, picked up my Alpher today, its stunning and Chris and the guys are lovely genuine people. I cant recommend them highly enough. Here it is in all its glory.
