1. Bought Johns Warwick head off him, good comms and rapid posting, excellent, would buy from him again no problem. Jeff
2. Mint Ibanez SR300 not getting used so may as well put it towards another cab, plenty of info about these on here, lovely skinny neck. 4.
That's right - Santa won't come at all if you're not good. You'd better leave a mince pie and a small glass of port in the fireplace to be on the safe side.
id prefer a corned beef pie and glass of single malt
5. Ive been having a change around of my gear this last few months and have mostly got rid of my bitsa`s (jazz on a budget remains and always will) but seem to have a soft spot for what i see as a bargain at the time so since august ive managed to give a home to this motley looking bunch! left to right. Squier Frank Bello Jazz, Ibanez 300sr, Aria Pe (i think), Squier Jag and Cort Action. They all play really well, the name on the head doesnt bother me im not a brand tart, the biggest surprise was the Cort it plays far better than what the price tag says it should and since ive upgraded the bridge and the pups (Entwistle neo`s) sounds loads better too. Ive put Entwistle neo`s in the Bello Jazz as well, the other three are standard, the Jag is my main gigging bass and the only difference from stock with that is the strings, i do like my flats
6. Ive got a mint iron pewter version, its a lovely bass but not getting used as much as it should and may yet be put up on the marketplace, cracking neck on it though.
7. Ive just fitted a PBXN and JBXN P/J to a Frank Bello Squier Jazz and the difference between these and the stock pickups is like night and day, its got more punch, more clarity and a more even volume spread between bass and treble strings, got to be the best £ per punch pickup on the market.
8. Bought a TC Electronic cab off Gerry, pleasure to deal with , good comms and very quick to courier out. Spot on. Jeff
9. I had one of them and your right, theyre not very loud, i dont think it is a problem with your bass only.
10. The neck, im thinking wider and i might be happy i find strings too close together.
11. Glad you like it, my quest for a 5 string im comfortable with continues.
12. I just put Fender flats on, they tame it enough without sounding dull.
13. I gigged mine on Sunday and was blown away, for £118 this is awesome value for money, if i could get a white one for the same price i would. Its got tone by the bucket load especially with the flats, neck is quick and its not too heavy, whats not to like?
14. Bought a speaker from Terry, prompt with good comms, painless transaction. top bloke. Jeff
15. Mine has turned up today and well..............its £118 very well spent, only played it through headphones and it appears to be the loudest bass ive got, even more output then the Entwistle equipped Cort ive got, I think it will get a set of flats on it to try and tame it but generally im well pleased, a little tweak of the truss rod and a fiddle with the saddles has got the action down to more than acceptable levels which has also been said before, neck wise it feels very similar to the Jazz necks ive played maybe only a slightly deeper profile but nothing at all worth worrying about. Gigging on Sunday so this will make its debut, if your humming and harring take the plunge, cant go wrong for the price.
16. DamonJames where are you? Ive got a Spector NS2000/5 im not 100% convinced is right for me yet and im in the north east if your close by to try.
17. Hmmmm this thread has just cost me £118! Thanks :-)
