1. Finally done the deal with Mike (alyctes) and what a nice bloke he is. Swapped my Hohner Jack for his Retrovibe Telebass which was a prototype that never made it into production and after playing it ive got to think that was a mistake its awesome! 2. I got 2 pieces of aluminum from work cut them to roughly the same size, filed them till they were the same size drilled and tapped the bottom part, drilled the top part and relieved the middle of it so the strings would pass through then cut it to length so the double ball ended strings fit. Then i painted it black, which is on a different photo.
3. im listening to the rain Hammering off my window on a musical note Alter Bridge`s new album `Fortress`
4. get your P routed so it can take any type and size of pickup from mm humbucker downwards, find one you like then get bassdoc to make you a custom plate, why stick with tradition if its not the traditional sound you want.

9. these are at £2.20 when i posted the link, you might drop lucky if you read this in time. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kent-Armstrong-6-String-Humbucking-Bass-Guitar-Pickup-Pair-/121200567144?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1c381de368
10. Ive also re-designed the original string retainer so i can use double ball end strings Ta Da! im a lot happier with this version as it doesnt clamp on the strings, hmmm maybe i should have had it in the build section
11. its not bad but its not how i would have imagined it, its not as loud or bassy as i thought it was going to be.
12. this is how a `restoration` should be done, no jazz bass pickups were harmed in the completion of this project i will get round to t-cutting the body soon, disappointed with the output of the pickups though, i thought it would be louder than what it is, ah well its a fun bass.
13. Instead of wd40 which isnt really designed for freeing seized nuts use `plus gas` as its a penertrating fluid.
14. Have a word with John (KiOgon) and he can do you a wiring harness with a push pull knob for series/parallel so it keeps the original layout so your not wiring in a switch, he did one for me and it does make a difference.
15. oh dear i must change my location to be a little less specific, yes im in the north east of England, cheers MB1 for sorting that one
16. If anyone followed the build of the rescue Jazz I said it would be going up for sale as I already have a fretless jazz, I also said it would be cheap just so I covered my costs, so here it is, i believe its a vmj Squier, its fitted with a set of pups from an old Squier made by Samick and theyre quite pokey! Im only looking for £100 basically just to cover the cost of all the parts, its not perfect but its pretty damn good. Its fitted with 3 brand new flats and a round g string (long story) postage will be £15 or better still if you fancy it and your in the north east we could arrange a meet so you could try before you buy Jeff
