the Westone that im rebuilding is going to have 2 artec sidewinders fitted so its got the possibilty to be very bassy but ill hold judgement till i hear it.

Do you find the smell of the Iroko bad when you machine it? I worked for a wood machining company in the `80s and we made chopping boards from it (well i did i was the only cnc machinist) and i used to hate the smell of it as it was machining. Looks great though, ive got one of the sidewinder pups waiting to be installed so i will be interested in your opinions.

I was going to suggest an Artec Sidewinder but having measured mine they are a bit different, ive got one for a P i built but have yet to fit it.

Does anyone know if a locking nut for a bass exists? You know like the ones used on guitars with trems on, reason im asking is ive got a headless westone with no string retainer and it would think one of them would do if it actually existed!

the neck is probably off a different guitar to the body judging by the truss rod access on the body and the fact that it has a truss rod cover on the headstock.
