1. ive got a bridge you can have gratis if you want it.
2. well if it helps me sleep after a gig ive just bought some for £18.49 delivered and if they cut out that bit more of the wifes whining i will consider it money well spent
3.
Definitely. That adds up to 44 years - so it's about right, really.
better than 92 though
4. would these help someone who can still `hear` the gig a couple of hours after thus stopping me from sleeping? i had a hearing test at work 2 weeks ago and my hearing was pretty good to say im 46, apparently ive the hearing of an18 year old in left ear and 26 year old right ear probably through lack of use cos i never listen to the wife ive found the musicsafe pro on ebay for £18.50
5.
Utter utter bollocks but i need to watch what I say as I tour with a BGT winner!! Lol
How is Pudsey?
6. some cracking set lists being posted on here, heres the one we do which isnt a patch on the rest of them, mind you i havent picked any of the songs either. Sweet Soul Sister, Gimme All Your Love, Accident Prone, I Surrender, In A Broken Dream, Is This Love, Who`s Cryin Now, Rock And Roll Children, Mr Crowley, You Give Love a Bad Name, Final Countdown. Girl Cant Help It, Ghost Of Me, Boys of Summer, Love Walked in, Forget Me Not, Rainbow in the Dark Separate Ways, Cant Stop Lovin You, Here I Go Again, Start talkin Love, All Night Long, Hollywood Nights, Its My Life, Dont Stop Believing. Lots of cheese involved and lots of blank faces when we play Ghost of Me by Doughtry we had initially tried Things My Father Said by B S C and Second Chance by Shinedown but they were greeted by more confused faces, i think the type of audience also dictates the choice of songs.
7. So for those bassists with `working mans hands` or `sausage fingers ` as i like to call them im now offering 3 string bass necks, theyre just like 4 string bass necks but have a spare hole at the end of the head thing as i like to call it which is just past the zero fret nut (which as yet hasnt been touched by my Stihl saw) , you can either hang up your `custom` 3 string bass, stick a ciggie in it or use it to put a bouquet of flowers in it to impress the Mrs or generally just leave it so it looks an eyesore alongside the other 3 different shape and size tuners jauntily angled back towards the player even though it only allows 1/3 of a turn on the tuner, not to worry though the new set of Ernie Ball super duper pooper scooper slinkies will sort that all out. The frets have been polished with my special angle grinder to within a microbe of their life and the fretboard libererally coated with beeswax (edit...no beeswax left in the house so used earwax). The beauty of 3 string necks is they allow a wide veriety of tuning options E, A, D or A, D, G or my personal favorite of ermmmm........ anyway this is a totally and utterly professionally retard i mean restored neck thats as good as anything Leo Fender produced from his Accrington factory. MDP (erm pro Luther....er Loootha, Lutha? Loofa?? )
8. Ooooh day before my birthday and after a very late night (is 3am night? ) travel home from a gig, please please nobody bring anything shiny that a poor man in a weakend state may take a shine to. Im really hoping i can get to this one.

10. Im going to watch this thread with interest as i too have just bought another p/bass body with a poly coat that im thinking of painting over, mine cost £6 so im not bothered if it goes too badly wrong
11.
ohhh this is going to be very special!
totally agree!
12. I always use a stanley knife to carefully widen nut slots, as long as the nut is plastic of course
13. try getting an 8 string set and use what you need from that or possibly got to somewhere like strings direct and buy individual strings, they do an 8 string Roto set in 20-105 so i should think that would do you. Hope that helps. Jeff
14.
A good rule of thumb is to go to a well attended bass bash and check out how many players are better than you are. I'd been playing a while when I went to my first one and I expected to about upper 'fourth division' to use old football system parlance but once I'd been hanging around a while and listening I quickly regraded myself to Sunday morning dog and duck league standard.
going by this rule of thumb im probably a wednesday night 5 a side kick about i do what i do and get by but i do think im improving now im having to learn other peoples lines.
15. Howard has done a few bits of work on a couple of my basses, always a pleasure to deal with. Top dude!
16. I bought a Duncan pup off John, all good with no problems, top man!
17. My bitsa jazz weighs just over 7lb with no particularly lightweight bits other than the body
18. one of my Jazz`s has a set of Wizard 84`s in it, the other has a ceramic MM pup in the neck position and its a monster! it`ll only cost you a pickguard!
