Well there will only be another installment of this to go and that will be when my Logo finally arrives hopefully this week, but guess what arrived today? there was a huge gap but glueing in the lolly stick has sorted it, the neck is now a very snug fit!, as for refinishing it, its a bit battered ive got a white p/guard in the post so ill see how it looks

im swaying towards the dark grey pearl i must admit

Ok so i got this body really cheap and got a neck off a fellow BC`er and lets just say the 2 dont fit as good as they should, what do you do? Eat a magnum ice cream and utilise the stick! im going to spray this one as its ply so im just wondering do i just need to remove all of the previous paint or can i get away with just flatting the existing paint and spraying over the top, ill be using car spray paint and the appropriate lacquer, heres a few starter pics of the body i was also toying with the idea of a MM pickup and plate but ive decided on the p/bass set up

im thinking of getting a scratchplate, do i go for A, Black - always a safe option B, Tort - could look very nice C, Dark grey pearl - could look even better D, Blue marble - Different but could work E, Red marble - Totally out of the question cos it looks like the new man u shirt thoughts please.

well my bridge from china arrived this morning and i think its just saved me a bit of money, its a seriously chunky piece of kit, it seems very heavy and quite well made, the height adjustment grub screws use a 2 1/2mm allen key instead of 2mm which should mean theyre less prone to ripping chunks of skin off with sharp edges and yes ive gone back to the black pickup covers. Ive bought all sorts off Andy both on here and off ebay and always found him a pleasure to do business with

the mrs has changed my mind about the gold hardware so ill just have to get myself a decent chrome bridge and ive just contacted someone on ebay about a `Funder Jeff Bass` decal or two.

Lovin the Funder Jeff Bass idea for the logo i think thats what im going to get made!

well it would be a little bit of a naughty take of the fender logo but instead of Jazz Bass it would be Jeff Bass but im stuck as to what the big logo bit would be? faker is a choice possibly the band name DarkHeart i dunno but im open to ideas, the Jeff Bass bit stays though

thanks umcoo, ive tried to keep it as cheap as possible and to be honest im blown away as to how good its turned out! who would have thought a £20 body off ebay bought with a triple thick coating of primer on could come up so nice, thanks to everyone who has made all the generous comments and given me the ideas needed to complete it as it is now. rehearsals tomorrow i cant wait!

If i ever come to sell it you have first refusal but that might be a while away i could be tempted to do another one though at some point, maybe a p/bass for a matching pair
