there was a huge gap but glueing in the lolly stick has sorted it, the neck is now a very snug fit!, as for refinishing it, its a bit battered ive got a white p/guard in the post so ill see how it looks

ive just noticed you finished it on my birthday, its a stunning piece of work, chapeau! may you have many moons of enjoyment with it. -
Ok so i got this body really cheap and got a neck off a fellow BC`er and lets just say the 2 dont fit as good as they should, what do you do? Eat a magnum ice cream and utilise the stick! im going to spray this one as its ply so im just wondering do i just need to remove all of the previous paint or can i get away with just flatting the existing paint and spraying over the top, ill be using car spray paint and the appropriate lacquer, heres a few starter pics of the body i was also toying with the idea of a MM pickup and plate but ive decided on the p/bass set up

well my bridge from china arrived this morning and i think its just saved me a bit of money, its a seriously chunky piece of kit, it seems very heavy and quite well made, the height adjustment grub screws use a 2 1/2mm allen key instead of 2mm which should mean theyre less prone to ripping chunks of skin off with sharp edges and yes ive gone back to the black pickup covers. Ive also just oredered the `Funder Jeff Bass` waterslide headstock logo old and new together, new bridge fitted

selling my Washburn as i dont really use it anymore and its better than it just standing in a corner looking all forlorn its in excellent condition and has had all the silver hardware of the original replaced with black and an upgraded set of pickups its the one on the left, if anyone would like more detailed pics feel free to ask

just back from rehersals, it sounded and played fantastic! then i looked over at the guitarists explorer with gold hardware and it set me off thinking hmmm........................... gold hardware would look the dogs danglies on it! what started as a budget build may yet go a bit over budget haha doesnt look at all out of place

thanks umcoo, ive tried to keep it as cheap as possible and to be honest im blown away as to how good its turned out! who would have thought a £20 body off ebay bought with a triple thick coating of primer on could come up so nice, thanks to everyone who has made all the generous comments and given me the ideas needed to complete it as it is now. rehearsals tomorrow i cant wait!

just for mcnach here it is with the wilkinson pups under the cream covers, sound is fairly meaty which as im in a rock band im pretty pleased about, still undecided over the headstock decal, do i or dont i? only waiting for the bridge now although if i can get a few more nightshifts in it may not get fitted when it comes anyway in favour of a badass apart from that its finished! thanks for reading my probably boring sometimes build

Feel a bit cheeky putting this in this thread but ive just built this up from bits sourced from off here and off ebay, its a bit of a work in progress but its Jazz shaped

new control plate arrived today as did a pot of beeswax so ive changed the controls, changed the bridge pick up and given it a polish going to try the wilkinson pups mcnach had for sale and put the cream covers on to see what it looks like but here it is as it stands, polished with matching entwhistle pickups. im still undecided on a headstock logo at the moment
