2. A bass player is needed for a covers band to fulfill long standing engagements, first one is in three weeks. Set list available on request. If anyone can help, they'd be most grateful. Regards Mark
3. Hi Folks. Anyone fitted one to their Precision? Views and opinions please? Regards Mark
4. Sorry, but I can never forgive them for introducing the kids to tea. A whole generation lost to the filth.
5.
Wow, d'you think the baguette was from the 'Festival of Britain 1951' series?
It was a Rickenfaker copy, sorry.
6. I had one of these, wish I'd never let it go. Swapped it for a coronation chicken baguette.
7. Hi. Millers Music & Ken Stevens, 12 Sussex Street, http://www.kenstevens.co.uk/ Wide variety of instruments, each time I've been in they seem to be ok.
8. What an interesting, fascinating interview. Two great musicians in conversation. Thanks for the link.
9. Used to enjoy playing 'Run To You', Brian Adams, but played so much I grew fed up with it. Seems to be how I am with most songs tbh. No wonder I can't stick with any genre for too long.
10. Thanks for the notice. Slade Alive was the first album I ever bought, still have it too. 'Cum On Feel The Noize' always reminds me of my teenage love, Karen, happy days of innocence.
11. Yup. Early Quo for me, not keen on the pop stuff though. But do like their version of 'Walk In The Room'.
12.
Really scary will be a robot hand plucking a bass guitar, it will use audio sensors to analyse the music for frequency and timing to pick out the bass using an algorithm devised from a library of players from different genres, it would then attempt to work out the baseline by a system of plucking and fretting and comparing the results to the original.
And then travel back in time to kill their Fathers, there by preventing the invention of slap bass and jazz.
13. Looks like someone's read this thread and taking it seriously! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20501091 Arnie on penny whistle?
14. Thanks to all for a very enjoyable day. Thanks Ped for the lanyard, special thanks to John for the tuition and thanks to Si for explaining compression. Good to put faces to names. Regards Mark
15.
Any film cap of the correct capacitance will do. PM me your address and I'll send you one.
That's very kind of you, pm on it's way. Many thanks. Regards Mark
16. Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'd like to try this mod. Does it have to be a paper in oil cap or would any type of the correct capacitance do?
17. Hi Folks. Change of departure point, I'll now be leaving from Saffron Walden, so anyone around there needing a lift or along my route? (M11 and M25) PM if I can help. Mark
18. Have to say, the photo doesn't do the bass justice, beautiful instrument.
19. Bought a Fender P from Andy. As usual, exactly as advertised and the whole experience effortless and trouble free. Andy was kind enough to deliver the bass to my place of work. Thanks very much and I hope the shopping trip was a success. Buy with confidence folks.
