1. Fever - Peggy Lee - Am - (I think) My Generation - The Ox - G to C and a couple on the way.
2. I was born in March 1960. My memory of the Beatles was 'She Loves You.' I was singing the chorus repeatedly at that young age. My Parents bought me an orange coloured plastic acoustic guitar with the fab four's pictures and autographs on it. Being so young, their pop songs appealed, but so did Freddy And The Dreamers, Gerry And The Pacemakers and Herman's Hermits. In the 70's, Slade were my inspiration, followed by the Stranglers, (the main reason I picked up a bass.) I was too young to understand how the Beatles affected the world of music at the time, all these years later, it makes sense. I met and shook hands with Bert Weedon a few years before his death, my mate asked who he was. Just a massive reason we had the Beatles mate.
3. Well done. These videos might help with programming; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYdYTR_FAqM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZJjL0JrLrg
4. I agree with him regarding George Martin.
5. Great talent, but he comes across as a thoroughly unlikeable man. It would break my heart to have a Son of mine regret me being his Father.
6. Saw them in the 70's with what I consider to be the best line up, Anderson, White, Wakeman, Howe, Squire. Going For The One tour. Maybe, with the loss of Chris Squire, most of that line up could reform. Hell of a pair of banana boots to fill though.
7. I've got the vinyl album - given to me by my Father in the late 60's.
8. Now the damn fridge is a better player than me!
9. Definitely try before you buy. Ibanez have a very slim neck compared to a Precision, a shade narrower than a Jazz too. Personally, I'd leave your Ibanez in the UK and buy a replacement in the US, sell it before you come back.
10. Sorry, have to cancel, family reason. Have a great time all.
11. I'm a hideous gonk, never felt comfortable infront of a camera.
12.
Sit on it.

13.
Have you ever played a Fretless? Imho it's a drastic move to secret a bass if you then find Fretless doesn't work for you.
Good point. There are plenty of cheap ones available to try before a defret.
14.
Or the GWB35: http://www.ibanez.co...=2&series_id=66

A very fine bass and 2nd hand prices are ludicrously low.
ARRRGH!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE NOT HELPING!!!!!!!!
15.
Do you know what the '900 is like - looks sweet?
No sorry. If they only made a lined 5 string! Oh god, gas is sooo bad in many ways. If you find yourself over in East Anglia, you are welcome to try my bass. Hoping to get to the Herts Bass Bash in June. Oh cr@p, they do!!!! 16. My Ibanez SR370 lined fretless is one of the best basses I've ever owned/played. Slim neck, great sound, not heavy. It can be played 'straight' or played with 'mwha', highly recommended, imo. I was told the model was discontinued, but I think a few of them are around new and at a good price. edit. can be found here; http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/ibanez-sr370-bass-guitar-brown-burst.html
17. Hi. Would like to be there. I can bring my Ibanez fretless and recently acquired Dingwall Combustion (thanks Neil), RH450, Barefaced Compact and Midget.
18.
"You sound just like Roger Waters but you have better tits" a rather drunk fellow in tonight's gig in Pontypool
You know the rule, pictures or it never happened!
19.
To finish it off, buff up with a wet chamois
Not the curtains?
20. Bought Neil's Dingwall bass. Bass was as described in his ad, totally stress free transaction. Met at a service station on the A1, had a very enjoyable chat over a coffee. Nice chap to do business with, best wishes with all your future ventures. Thanks Neil.
21. Ok, I'll bite.
I found it helpful to imagine spraying the audience with water from a garden hose. As the frequency gets higher so I'm turning the control nozzle from a fine wide spray to a jet. With 2 hoses together, either side by side or one on top of the other, the jets will collide and the water will tend to spray verticaly or horizontally. Reading back I'm not to sure whether this explanation will serve to confuse or clarify but I'll post it anyway and await the puns on my aqueous analogy.
Water you saying? Spray that again please. (Sorry)
