1. Membership sounds good to me (at a fiver), with say only members have access to the sale forum? could also have a tuition area that only members have access to or even tutorials on using DAW and such like? Just some ideas
2. Or buy on the credit card pay monthly during the 0% and when near the end get a loan from Tesco's or bank to pay the balance off at a lower rate than you'll pay on the CC each month? A happy medium?
3. Bernadette - 4 tops, just for my own enjoyment. Also Sittin' on the dock of the bay as I think it's a good song that I can practice singing and playing at the same time.
4.
Obligatory James Jamerson tune, the reality is that the list should TOTALLY be made up of James Jamerson bass parts.
+1
5. Moby Dick - Zeppelin Framed - Alex Harvey
6.
what I've done is gone and gotten some decent JVC in ear headphones (£20) and I've been using the Vox Amplug thing. A gain, volume and tone control on the device and it plugs straight into the jack of your bass. It's also got an aux to play along or to work stuff out, which is why I use it mostly. I'd also say that it sounds even better than my amp! (Then again I haven't got the best 1 in the world)
+1 Great sound
7.
Where are you yepmop?
Portsmouth
8. very cheesy but I actually liked it , especially the t-Shirt.
9. I did the old family tree a few months ago and found out the a couple of generations back we had a professor of Music, a musical director and a music teacher in our family, so wondered if it's hidden dormant in the genes awaiting a "Trigger". I always wanted to play guitar from the age of 13 but we could not afford one let alone the cost of lessons. It was not until I was 16/17 when I bought a guitar and started to learn and after a few months I was getting on okay with it until a friend of mine who was learning bass and was not getting anywhere with it asked if I wanted to buy it. So I gave it a try and the only way to describe the feeling was it was like being lost for years then accidentally stumbling across you home again, felt so wonderful and natural. My son (11) plays guitar quite well and has lessons and my daughter (6) has just started to learn the keyboard, both love music but it is more than likely influenced by me rather than a "Natural" need to learn. My son annoys me in the fact he has a real talent for guitar and has stood up in front of the school and played on his own with so much confidence and ability but he's a really lazy learner and getting him to practice is a trauma in itself, but I don't push it as he is still quite young and could rebel if he feels pressured etc. I actually think he'd be an excellent bass player. Oddly enough my eldest brother (65) has just started to learn keyboards after wanting to for so many years but never did.
10. Bet it has a crap sound but may enhance any bum notes
11. Didn't mind the £20 as it goes to supporting the site plus if you sell a few items on here it probably works out a lot cheaper the fleabay costs. I think the market is a bit falt at the mo (seasonal?), i've had loads of interest in my MIM Jazz but no takers.
12. Totally agree, top quality items and great support,I've bought 2 off John (KiOgon) highly recommend.

15. have fun!
16. A "High-end bass" ?
17.
I spent an hour in Absolute Music a few weeks ago being totally ignored. Walked out in disgust in the end and still nobody noticed me. Perhaps I'm the invisible man.
If they didn't see you Phil, they must all be seriously blind in that shop!! But I do understand what you mean though, I've had that happen to me quite often in Nevada's in Pompey. Walk around with your wallet in your hand and suddenly they're tripping over themselves to help.
18.
Still looking good for my birthday in July! If you don't sell it on ebay by then!
It's getting that way when in July is your Birthday?
19. Probably completely unrelated, but I had a problem with my Jazz and some new Dimarzio pickups. No noise when playing or not, but If I put my finger on the scratch plate about 1 cm from the neck pickup I got a static type of sound. I found that (and this may not have been the cause) the scratch plate was touching the pickup covers, so with a nail file I gently filed away until I got a small gap and the problem went away.
20. Have fun.
21. That's really nice!! Think the white scratch plate sets if off better than a black one. well done!!
22. Welcome Tom from another "Older" member. Have fun
23. Bump before going to Flea Bay
