3. Should say "Double Hernia" not double neck
4. Really good read, seems like they have a lot of time for browsers over there, unlike here where they want you out the door if you not flashing your wallet.
5. If you want something novel then look no FURther than this Quite interesting, but would imagine it would stain quite easily or get sticky with sweat etc, but then again a bit of Vanish will sort that problem out. Does it dampen the sound at all?
6. Hi All Getting the urge to write a couple of songs for the first time in over 30 years and was wondering how other writers approach writing their own songs. Do you write the lyrics first then create the music? or is it the other way around, create the music first then add some lyrics. The ones I've written in the past have always started life off as a riff/melody and then I've built on to that and then added some lyrics as the final touch but I think logically, it would be better to write the lyrics first, then add the music? Cheers

9. Hi All I want to get myself a new combo to replace my 15" 100 watt Ashdown, I'm flogging the Ashdown and my MIM Jazz to fund the new purchase plus a little dosh. So I'm looking for something Around £400 (2nd hand or new) that; Gives that old school sound. Wife friendly (doesn't take up too much room). Doesn't weight too much and can fit into the boot of a Ford Focus. My initial thoughts are for a Fender Rumble 350 but will ask the experts here for other options that I've not thought of. Many Thanks in anticipation.

11. Done the set up but did have a problem earlier that came back and bit me. The Vintage saddle screws did not quite fit the holes in the bridge, so I used the old ones which were a little loose fitting but they seem to move the saddles up and down okay. Anyhow, when I came to do the intonation, I suddenly found out that I could only move the saddles up and down a few mm, so out came the drill and I enlarged the screw holes by 0.03 mm and fitted the correct sized screws and all is okay now. I've left the action a little on the high side to get that vintage sound I was after. The bass sounds and plays lovely, I will do the chrome bridge cover tomorrow, then it's just waiting for the chrome pickup cover to arrive to complete it. When all is done, I will add photos and a sound/video clip so you can here it in all it's glory.
12.
Some nice playing on the second one, but to my ear he's playing a guitar part - just happens to be on a bass.
+1
13.
In the case of M D Philips the pronunciation would be Loo Tae Yer - roughly translated as Toilet To You as this also describes the standard the work one may expect.
Like it
14. Almost completed. Had a problem with no sound from the pickups and was fearing the worst but after playing around I found that the input jack connection was touching the copper shielding in the cavity, so a bit of peeling resolved that heart stopping moment. The Scratch Plate holes drilled and fitted, String Tree hole drilled and fitted. Added Chrome Control knobs. Thumb rest Holes drilled and fitted. Replaced bridge saddles with Vintage style. Close up of the body As it looks at the moment. if time permits tonight I will start to set it up, played it through my Vox headphone amp and the sound is awesome. After the setup I will drill the holes for the chrome bridge cover and fit it. I'm still waiting for the chrome pickup cover to arrive as apparently there's no stock of them anywhere in the UK.
15. Cheers Lozz - I think you maybe right about the "aged" look. It may look better to me when the strings and Chrome bridge and pickup covers are on.
16. The neck along with the plate now added to the body. Holes for the Scratch plate now need to be drilled ans thumb rest drilled and attached. Still not sure about the Scratch Plate colour, looked good in the picture but when I received it I'm not so sure now, may live with it for now but get a Red tort one later. Once the Holes for the scratch plate and thumb rest have been done I will then move onto the string tree, just realised I haven't got a nickel screw for the tree so a chrome will do until I can order one.
17. I've been watching Pompey for over 40 years and it is so sad to see gradually get asset stripped over the years. Personally I think they should liquidate the club to get rid of the debts and start again and do it all correctly, ground wise and academy wise with the fans owning it until someone can invest some money to then share ownership with the fans. Music scene used to be good in Pompey many years ago but I think it is picking back up again.
18. Nice colour, black or White scratch plate? My previous build I used a Fiat yellow really bright and in your face loved it.
19. Added the nickel strap pins and attached neck for alignment. Will wait until tomorrow to drill the neck heel holes.
20. To me, It's like trying to express myself to non English speaking people, I know what i want to say, but i can't say it in their language. I should have leant the language first rather stumble my way along by using Charades, Hope that makes sense
