2. On the subject of refinishes, most early '60's custom colour Fenders had white primer. (Although a few genuine original Strats with gray primer have surfaced). Also, there would be an upainted area in the neck pocket were the body was hung from a tube during painting, this system came in sometime in 1963....Anyhow, a much better refinish than my '71 J, what a mess, painted the control cavity, pots and all!
Having been lucky enough to have had 1960 and 1962 P basses for a while, yours looks like a beauty. Best of luck, wish I had the money...

Yes, is that picture actually of yours? Because that's a first series Japanese version (Octaver).
If it's a silver label, it's a Taiwanese model without the 'r' (Octave).
I'd change the photo so people aren't confused :)

Hi chaps, yes, not my pic, had no time to take pics yesterday.... It was one I found on the net. Thats why I headlined with "More pics to follow". I realised the mistake after. Sorted now,
Cheers.

4. SOLD

Industry standard octave pedal, used to great effect (haha) by the likes of Pino Palladino, etc.
You know this pedal, octave one is an octave below the original note, octave two is two octaves below. Octaves one and two are mixable via seperate level controls and the direct signal control pot.
This is a silver label pedal from Taiwan, it is fitted with the PSA adaptor socket.
The pedal works fine off battery or power supply and is in very good condition.
There two squares of velcro on the bottom, as its lived on a pedal board.

Postage will be £3.00 for this pedal, sent bubble wrapped and boxed.
Thanks for looking.

5. Designed by Mike Beigel, the man behind the legendary Musictronic Mutron III.

Used by....
John Martyn
Bootsy Collins
Flea
Daft Punk
Stevie Wonder
Steve Winwood
etc.....The list goes on.

From EHX:

The improved Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron Envelope Filter provides all the wah sounds of the famous Mu-Tron III heard on countless funk and rock recordings, but with increased frequency response and improved signal-to-noise ratio. The Q-Tron features switchable Up/Down Filter drive; variable filter-peak control; hi/low range control; selectable LP, BP, HP and Mix filters; a variable-gain control and overload indicator; switchable boost, effect, and direct outputs.
This one came to me used and with surface scratches, but works just fine. It also came with a broken power supply socket, so I took the opportunity to change the socket to the standard issue, as found on most pedals.
There is no power supply with the unit but it happily ran on one that was compatable with Boss and Ebs pedals.

In its original wooden box with ehx paperwork.

Postage for this will be around a fiver, thanks for looking.

6. 1978 pre Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray bass.

I picked this bass up the 'states while I was touring over there a good few years ago.
Its in pretty good condition overall for 37 years old, especially the neck and fingerboard, which to my eyes is possibly sporting the original frets.
The lacquer on the body has cracked and crazed, not everyones thing, but I like it.
The finish has flaked off down to the wood in two parts next to the neck joint, (see pics) and there are 3/4 areas on the body were the finish is down to the wood.
Two look they are dings, the others look like the finish has maybe flaked off. There are plenty of scratches in the lacquer that have not gone all the way through to the painted finish.
The preamp has been changed to the 1982 version, this was in the bass when I bought it. its obvious that the electric have been tackled by a previous owner at some point, as the solder work whilst solid, doesn't look like it came out of a factory....I've replaced the treble pot with a new one bought from ernieball.co.uk. If I can find the old pot, I'll include it in the sale, but it is goosed.

Happy to post, or the buyer may collect, thanks for looking.
